Description of 1971 Buick Skylark

Here we have a 1971 Buick GS Stage1 Tribute that started it's life as a Skylark 350 and was garaged all but 3 years since it was new. The previous owner sold me the car because he didn't have a place to store it. It has been updated from front to rear with all new GS suspension and the front disk brake conversion. The rear end was rebuilt with all new seals and bearings and topped off with a fresh Eaton Posi unit and new 342 gears. The car is stunning and a absolute head turner with the no expense spared 455 with all the good stuff. I will try to list all of the TA Performance parts that were used in the build at the end of the description. This would easily be a 10 Second Street Car if you could get the power to the ground. I had it built to go to cruise in's on Saturday night. " IT WILL BURN THE TIRES OFF AT 40MPH " As it should with well over 550 hp! The car also has a completely Built Turbo 400 to handle the awesome torque of this beast. By now you're probably thinking this car doesn't sound very streetable. Very streetable it is. and will take a serious buyer for a ride if need be. I do have all of the AC components nicely stored in my shop if you're interested in going fast and keeping cool. and it would be no trouble at all to get it working again. I chose to leave it off to make the engine compartment look less cluttered. Just recently installed a new GS 455 fan shroud and new master cylinder. The interior is as it was when I bought the car back in 08 except for the new black carpet. The original seats show that the car only has 41. 00 miles on it. The engine and transmission have about 2. 00 miles on them since built in 2011. I will throw in a really nice black GS floor console and automatic shifter when the car meets it's low reserve. It also has a Custom Auto Sound Radio with CD changer controls on the face for a more factory appearance along with new Pioneer 6x9 speakers mounted in the factory grills. The rear package tray and padding were also replaced when the speakers were installed. It also has the working factory rear window defogger mounted on the package tray. The car was just painted with PPG waterborne Cortez Silver in October of 2014 by Collison One in Tappahannock . irginia. They used their best clear on this car and this silver car has depth!!!A new GS grill was also added along with a new windshield. Here's the list of everything I can remember that went into the engine. The heads are Iron Stage1 Street Ported from Gessler Head porting that specializes in Buick's. Heads were also set up with proper TA springs for the cam1. 65 TA Performance Shafter mount Roller RockersTA 210 SHL Solid Cam with Crower Solid liftersTA Crower Sportsman RodsTA SRP Forged 38 over pistons with Total Seal RingsARP main studs. rod bolts. nd head boltsNew performance timing cover- oil pump assy. I can go on and on. If you have any questions. I will try to answer them in a timely manner. Also I will be more than glad to talk on the phone. just ask for my number. . If you know your Buick's. you know how fast they were stock. The fastest production car in 1971. I have over 30k in the car now with the new paint job. my loss your gain. Just need the extra room in the shop. The car is for sale locally and will be sold as is to the highest bidder or buy it now.
