1950 Buick Special 2dr Sedanette Street Rod finished in Sikkens Black paint. Paint is in great shape and shows well. Chrome and brightwork really make this car standout and draw attention. Creek Keystone rechromed the entire car. The hood is a piano style hood that opens both ways with a special tool you use with the portholes on either side. Under the hood is a 5.3L LS1 V8 that is paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission with overdrive. Also under the hood is an aluminum radiator, cold-air intake, and a painted engine cover. This car was built only four years ago and it shows in detail and quality. Previous owner drove it regularly with trouble-free miles and never in inclimate weather. This also comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, and A/C! Riding on 1953 Buick hubcaps with Diamondback radial wide whites. This was professionally chopped 3" and it gives it a long and low look that really cements the vehicle. The frame underneath is a 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood chassis and running gear. The rear axle was moved forward 3/4" to center the axle in the wheel well. The front A-arms were narrowed and that's all they had to do to have it sit on the Cadillac chassis nicely. The interior is a caramel/black combo vinyl with reupholstered 1964 Thunderbird seating from Knish Kustoms. This also has a modern stereo system and vintage A/C. This won MSRA (Minnesota Street Rod Association) car of the year when it was built! Original steering wheel was customized to have a smaller diameter. Dash appears to be original and in nice shape. Center console, cup holders, and controls for A/C are in the glove box. Seats, door cards, headliner, dash, and carpeting are all in great shape on this build!
