GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1958 Buick Special Estate Wagon(also known as the Buick Caballero) for your consideration. The wagon is powered by what appears to be a 364 nailhead v8 paired with an automatic transmission. In 1958 only 3,420 examples of the special were produced with a base price of $3,265. The car was advertised as "The Air Born B-58 Buick" and the 1958 example had more stainless steel trim and chrome than any other production car ever. The car is influenced by the jet age throughout and is seen in the 160 chrome squares in the front grille and the simulated jet exhaust outlets in the rear bumper. The car is finished in blue over a black interior. The car shows some patina that it earned over the years but still remains solid and the doors shut like a vault door. The car has a brand new battery. It rides on its factory 15 inch steel wheels with hubcaps and white wall tires. The car also comes with its owners manual as well. The interior is neat and tidy and well kept. This is an excellent cruiser that can be enjoyed the way it is or good candidate for restoration.
