Description of 1955 Buick Other 2 Door Hardtop

This is a very solid 1955 Buick Special two door hardtop. It has its' original numbers matching. (I believe 262 cubic inch V-8). I'm listing this car for my neighbor. He has a clear Tn. Title in hand. The odometer shows 18. 00 miles. I'm guessing it has rolled over so I'm listing it as True miles unknown. I've personally driven this car. It feels solid with no rattles. smoke or other unusual noises. It starts easily with the original gas pedal start button. It idles and runs very good. It does not overheat and is driven on a regular basis. The tires are near new. It has no power steering. power brakes. A/C or power windows. The drivers and passenger windows are cracked. (flat glass easily replaced). The interior & headliner were redone and look very presentable. The dash shows its age and needs cleaning & refinishing. The trunk is solid with a newer liner. There are a couple of areas that show small paint bubbles and scratches. (the worst being pictured). If you are looking for a vintage Buick that you can just drive as is or want a very solid 2 door hard top to build your Street Rod. this may be what you're looking for. The owner has a VERY reasonable reserve. You'll want to put this Buick on your watch list. I believe it will sell. I'm located 25 miles South East of Nashville Tn. I'm happy to cooperate with your shipping or pick-up arrangements. Feel free to call with questions. The owner is open to offers. so this Buick may not make it to the end of this auction. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I'll try to cover all of them the best I can. All the gauges work as should. The heater works. The floor pans are rusted and have newer metal covering them. All of the exterior lights work including brake lights. The VIN tag in the drivers door jam matches the Title. (picture included)I could not find the block #. It may be behind the fuel pump. This car can be driven as is. however if you're looking for a 100 point show car it will need a complete restoration.
