Description of 1955 Buick Century Rivera

1955 Buick Century RivieraModel 66RThis is a project car I started and will never finish. Here is a list of what I have for it. 401 Nailhead engine built for Rod & Custom Magazine and featured in the September 1995 issue. It has never run. What I believe is a Turbo 400 HydramaticThe rear end is a 3. 89 Positraction Curie 9" Ford on a four bar coil-over suspension - all new and powder-coated black. Four wheel disc brake conversion with power brake booster. New front suspension bushings with new 2" lowered springs. All trim is there including an extra pair of bumpers. Wheels are new American Torque Thruster mags. 15" front and 16" rear with new tires. On Dec-03-14 at 13:05:07 PST. seller added the following information:The car is a roller and located in Costa Mesa. California. The motor is out of the car right now. I took it to an engine builder to go through it as my next project was to set it up in the car and get it running. I located a rear sump oil pan and pump pick-up from Russ Martin in Grass Valley. CA. The engine is at the builder's now. but hasn't been opened up yet. I have added a scan of the Rod & Custom article's first page. In the photos the motor is set up on home made motor mounts. but I also have Buick mounts from Russ Martin. The interior is stock '55 Buick that had been dyed black including the headliner. The rear seat is out. and both seats will need re-upholstery. Dash is intact with "redline" speedometer. Original steering wheel. The photos of the rear end were taken before the parts were sent to be powder-coated. The rear end is back in the car with a positraction 3rd member from Speedway Motors Speed Shop.
