Description of 1985 Buick Regal T-Type |
PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PICTURES! NO RESERVE! Truly an affordable Un-Restored Original Survivor! You are looking at a 1985 Buick Regal T-Type. It is ALL ORIGINAL. a True Survivor. It needs an easy Exterior Restoration and only minor Interior work. The body is RUST FREE. The under carriage is rust free and the 3. 8L V6 SFI OHV Turbo Charged Engine is STRONG. If you would like to add even more horsepower and Turbo Boost. Install the the supplied LARGER Turbo and Intercooler. I also am including a BRAND NEW FLOWMASTER Dual Exhaust System. I also am Including the Original Aluminum T-Type Wheels as Grand National Wheels are on It now. They also go with It. NOW for the Restoration needs: The Body is in EXCELLENT Condition with only some minor dents and dings. No Rust and easily restored. It will however need two doors I believe. I think they might be to rusted out on the bottom to re-skin. The front and rear bumper fillers will need to be purchased as well as the rubber rub rails for the bumpers. The bumpers look like they can be polished out. Both the front and rear bumpers are pushed in on one side. they are mounted to a bumper shock and really just need to be pulled back out. I have however supplied one used spare just in case. If needed another you must purchase. Some badging is missing and you will need to replace. Most weatherstripping will need replacement. All the floor pans are solid as well as the trunk floor. The original matting is still present as well as the brand new looking full size spare and jack. The suspension seems mostly tight. All the jambs look nice and clean as well as trunk lid and look like they will NOT have to be re-painted. The Original paint however on the exterior is all crazed and cracked and will need to be entirely stripped before a re-paint. NOW for the Interior. The interior is in EXCELLENT and Original with Velor seats with just some tiny tiny little holes here and there and are hardly noticeable. I contacted an Upholsterer and says Its an easy fix with just new panels in spots. The Door Panels are Excellent. the dash has no cracks but is missing the original radio. all other trim is present. The "T" gear shift top is missing and you will have to purchase. The headliner for some reason is in Horrible shape. The foam padding is good but the headliner is pealing away and is filthy and torn for some reason. The carpets are pretty clean and has some nice Black Grand Nat Mats. All glass is good except the windshield with a crack and you will need to replace. This is available by ALL glass companies and is reasonable in price just like late models. Everything electrical and power works including heat but I think AC needs work. maybe just a re-charge but lets be honest. Is It ever really just that? NOW. even with a paint job. this will still be a mostly ORIGINAL Unrestored Survivor. Other than the paint and the very minor body work. I also would just clean up the undercarriage and paint. Clean up suspension. engine and engine compartment. Maybe paint the trunk floor and underside of hood but not all that necessary because It is covered in the trunk and you should purchase the sound deadener for the bottom of the hood. If this Car is not sold here. I will most likely restore It myself since this is not a major project. I will then get a lot more. Here is your chance to get one of these cheap. restore cheap and have a soon to be highly Collectable Car. They are already coming up now in value. These T-Types are actually more RARE than the Grand Nats as much less were made and how many could possibly be left. They only made about 2500 of these in 1985. This will easily be a 16K car when finished and you will make a great profit or have nice little Nest Egg for the Future. This is a NO RESERVE Auction with a LOW CONSERVATIVE starting price.
