1965 Buick Riviera Take a look at this beautiful 1965 Buick Riviera brought to you by CARuso Classic Cars. This is a True Texas Car with a replacement engine that has only 5 miles on car since engine rebuild! Odometer shows 12404 miles. The car was painted a Mercedes Benz Storm Red by Harold Russell in Garland TX. The interior has new carpet new Tex-Mex style vinyl seats and a new headliner. This is a very clean and straight car. Bumpers have been re-chromed and all trim has been polished. Transmission has been rebuilt. Drive Shaft has been balanced with new universal joints. There are new tires and a new exhaust. Trunk has been refinished to look like new. New Shocks and Front Suspension rehab complete. Needs 2 of 4 inserts for Center caps. Ready for Cruise Night! Additional information from the current owner of the 65 Riviera: Owner has all the receipts from the engine work totaling more than $5000 The original engine was frozen and so the owner sourced another good block from a dealer in Fort Worth and that cost around $500. A machine shop in Fort Worth known for being an excellent engine rebuilder was hired. He is known as the go-to re-builder of engines in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The engine parts cost around $1500 and were purchased as a kit. Total was about $2600 The engine was then transported to another mechanic where it was installed and the engine was tuned. Not included in rebuild were the extra parts related to the carburetor rebuild the replacement of the alternator new battery spark plugs distributor cap wires etc. Flywheel is perfect as is the harmonic balancer. $450 spent just on the driveshaft alone. Balancing and new universals. Rebuild included new pistons rings valve springs and The crankshaft bearings were replaced as well. Valves were polished and the heads were polished as well with new valve stems New fan clutch installed Gas tank was removed cleaned and sealed Radiator was also removed flushed clean sealed painted and reinstalled Shocks replaced Valve covers cleaned and polished. These were an option in 1965. Spare parts that come with car include a spare water pipe by the radiator and an additional air conditioning compressor |
