Description of 1963 Cadillac DeVille

Here is a 1963 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. The previous owner did significant work to the engine and drivetrain and I spent over $1000 only a few months ago making the car run and drive even better. Drive it anywhere. The odometer reads 45. 00. It could be original or it could be 145. 00. your guess is as good as mine. The good: -The car runs. drives. and stops nicely. It always starts and doesn't leak a bunch of fluids. (it used to but I had that fixed)-All of the blinkers. signals. and lights work. -The tires are good. -New exhaust/muffler. -Recent brakes. -Quarter panels and frame are fine. -The blowers and heating/cooling controls work and I had the A/C unit recharged with R12. -The speedo. dash lights. and temperature gauge work. -Power windows all work great. -The interior isn't perfect. but is nice for the age. Headliner is great. The bad:-As you can see. there is some surface rust. I think it looks cool as is. but if that isn't your thing. it shouldn't be too hard to fix the rust and paint it. -The clock. power locks. power seats. and gas gauge don't work-The transmission can be a little sluggish if you really stamp the gas. It is fine in normal driving conditions. -The chrome "tubs" are shot and need to be replaced. the rotted areas were removed by the previous owner. --There is a dent in the rear bumper. -I will include the original radio with the car. It wasn't working when I pulled it. although it lit up and the power antenna worked. It probably needs some new caps and resistors. -I only have a key for the ignition and trunk. I will include a replacement door lock kit. Feel free to ask me any questions. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours. Final payment is due within a week. I will accept Paypal. cash in person. or cashiers check. The car is sold AS-IS and all sales are final. It is a 51-year-old car and I have done my best to accurately describe its condition. I'm flexible. but the car needs to be picked up in a timely fashion. Reimburse me and a buddy for gas. and I'll deliver the car within a day's drive of Des Moines.
