Description of 1993 Cadillac Allante

1993 Cadillac Allante Convertible. If you are reading this ad you probably already know that the '93 model is the only one with the Northstar V8 and accordingly is the one that is by far the most desirable model yearto own. This particular Allante was brought over from California and has never seen any snow or salt to the best of our knowledge. The clean body and underbody appear to be in accordance with this claim. Paint is a deep shiny black with a factory red accent stripe. No major scratches or dents are noted though there appears to becracking in the front bumper as noted in the pictures. Convertible top in very good condition though there is a small rip in theinterior headliner material. The Northstar V8 starts quickly and easily and runs as it should. It has plenty of power to spare and delivers it smoothly and evenly as typical of a well maintained Northstar. The 4-speedautomatic transmission shifts smoothly and does not appear to exhibit any delays slippage or odd noises. Suspension and steering are tight; the car handles quite well and tracks straight. Brakes work well with no fading or noises present. Tires in very good condition with plenty of tread. The two front tires have under 1000 miles on them. Freshly aligned. AC has been converted to R134a with a new condenser and compressor. This Allante has a clean CarFax report and is a two-owner car having lived inFlorida and California its entire life. All in all this Allante is a real pleasure to drive and looks great goingdown the road.

Unfortunately theinterioris not up to the standard of the rest of the vehicle. The tan leather drivers seat is worn though the passenger seat is in far better condition. Thecenter console is in need of replacement as it is badly warped and coming apart. The interior displays are currently experiencing an electrical issue that is causing the dash drivers information center turn signals and climate control to lose power though the radio windows and other accessories work as they should.Eachcomponent works when given power as theydo allfunction intermittently with no missing pixels or other malfunctions noted. As they will sometimes click on and off it is our guess that there is a faulty relay somewhere but we do not have the expertise to diagnose. Likewise the convertible top must beoperated manually - again all of the motors appear to work when given power but do not function independently as they should.Another likely relay issue that we are not able to properly diagnose.

For the right person who is able to fix the electrical issues and console/seat this will be a very nice car. As mentioned it does start run and drive as-is quite well. We very much encourage prospective buyers to take a look at the car beforehand or give us a call or email with any questions. Because of the work needed this car is being sold on a strict as-is basis. We have sold to happy customers across thecountry and are more than happy to arrange discounted shipping anywhere in the US.
