I've had this beauty for 16 years. It is 50 years old this year. It spends the cold months covered in a garage and the warm months covered in the driveway. It runs and drives great. It is the ultimate head turning ride. Park it next to a Lambo and it will receive more attention.Interior & AccessoriesIt has a hidden after market radio head with CD and Aux port (iPod, tc), 75watt amp and 10" sub. The power seats were re-upholstered (before I purchased it) in vinyl and are in great condition. The A/C is not working, or is the cruise control and climate control (heating and defrost work). The right front power window has a problem when it gets all the way down, o I don't usually go all the way with it. The top, ith glass window, s in great condition. The clock does not work. All lights work except for one of the backup lights. I use this car on weekends in the summer (and actually every other chance I get in the summer). It is pure joy to be driving down the road in this baby with it's gigantic red hood in front of you! Hit the after-market oohga horn for fun!ExteriorThere is some rust showing up on the lower fenders, ut there isn't any on the frame. The underside is solid. Two body mounts near the front side of the trunk had been removed before I purchased the car. Apparently there was some body rust at that location and when they repaired it they never put the mounts back. I've been driving it for 16 years and it hasn't changed. Even though it is not show-car paint, he casual observer looks at the paint job and says "wow, his is sweet!".Mechanical & SafetyThe car handles well and the brakes are strong. The motor always starts right up, t runs smooth and it does not burn oil. In fact, fter 5 months of winter storage, here is very little fluid leakage on the garage floor. After reconnecting the battery and a couple of throttle pumps, t starts right up every year. I've replaced the radiator, he alternator, he water pump and the exhaust. I've rebuilt the brakes and done the alignment. The transmission shifts smoothly and quietly and there is no slip. The car passed safety inspection at Firestone last month (Sept 2015).Also includedOriginal Dealer Brochure (very cool), touch up paint, GM Factory Shop Manual published in 1965 and a Car Cover.NotesIn case you are new to the classic car world, ote that registering it as a "historical" car and purchasing an "antique car" insurance policy is the way to go. The cost in NY is less than $200 for both!Feel free to contact me for any questions. This car is listed locally, o I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
