Description of 1967 Cadillac DeVille |
Up for my auction is a 1967 Cadillac Sedan DeVille that I have owned for 5 years.Ipurchased it from a friend who has owned it since the late 90's andhe purchased it from a friend that I believe bought it in 1992.It is an all original survivor car with the actual miles listed. Engine/Transmission: The engine and transmission are very good and dead reliable. I had 2 pistons replaced as they were cracked 4 years ago when I bought it. At that time the shop replace the rings, ead gaskets, ehoned cylinders, tc. The old girl starts up and runs beautifully with absolutely zero smoke. It has dual exhaust which sounds great but isn't out of line with the style of the car. I recently drove the car 90 miles from my house to where it is stored and cruised at 75-80 down the highway with zero problems whatsoever.I had the AC charged with the "real" stuff and it blows cold. The transmission shifts beautifully with a pan gasket leak. Tires: I replaced the tires about 4 years ago so they have maybe 4000 miles on them (I only put maybe 1000 miles a year on the car). They are wearing evenly with no alignment issues. Interior: The interior is in gorgeous condition and all original. There is a button that is missing on the bottom portion of the drivers side back (they put buttons that are an easy target for a belt loop to grab, he button is in the glovebox...). The cushion material could be replaced as some point as it is drying out but the material is in superb condition. The dash has zero cracks as well as the steering wheel. In addition, he headliner is perfect as well as the carpet. Body: The green paint (I believe the paint code is called "Forest Lawn Green") is in very good condition with some typical age cracks. The worst part of the car is minor bubbling under the vinyl roof. All the chrome trim is in very good condition as well. Electrical: Everything works as it should electrically including all lights, indshield wipers, top lights, urn signals, C, adio, nterior lights, tc. The only minor irritation is that the turn signal stalk doesn't stay on when you are turning right (you have to hold it in position). All in all this is a very well maintained original survivor car that has been extremely reliable for me and makes a great statement. I would literally drive it anywhere at this point...except in snow. I am selling as I have just lost my passion for classiccars and this one deserves to not sit in a garage. I have a very fair reserve price which is below the current Hagerty value. I have the car listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Also, he car is in storage in a town about 90 miles from my house. I can easily drive it back to Denver or the shipper of your choice can pick it up there. Thank you for looking and happy bidding! |
