Description of 1982 Cadillac Eldorado Eldorado, Biarritz

This is truly one of a kind. Hess and Eisenhardt. code #54 with matching leather interior. 4100 V-8. Touring Suspension and Custom Grille. continental kit and Tru Spoke Wheels an original from the H&E conversion group this is the only known Colonial Yellow over Colonial Yellow. nbsp; Cadillac Eldorado converted by H and E in 1982 a search did not turn up any other H&E's with these color code combinations for 1979-1983 and this truly sets this car apart from the rest of the crowd. I original wanted something different than Black. red and white and this was "it"! This car has the very rare for this year. two position memory drivers seat. The photos do not do this car Justice. it has set unattended in the back of my shop for several years. it has not been cleaned or detailed in that time. a good detail would make a great difference in its appearance!After several years and many $$ spent to bring this car up to speed health forces me to quit and pass it on to someone to complete some minor rust (surface rust under car floor and frame. a small hole on the left and right rear floor corners. typical spots on lower left and right doors and paint repairs remain undone. (I never got into Body Work or Painting) WOW the paint will make the car the interior is near perfect! I also think that the 2 outer tie rod ends must be replaced. I think I have these and will include in sale. The serviced radio has to be installed with the newer face plate and a Convertible top switch replaced (these come with car) This car should be a great driver for that person that wants the unusual Cadillac. and will make for many great conversations and drives on Sunday and Holidays. should trump the competition at the shows in her class with a little work. The previous owner had the brakes and exhaust done for his state inspection. he drove it some 2000 miles before the sale to me so the Brakes are quite good. the owner before him had the transmission rebuilt and the cooling system flushed and a new radiator. these repairs I can see but have no receipts. but take on close observation they were done. Some instinct after 55 years as a GM mechanic I guess!The car arrived here in Tucson in 2008. it was driven off the car carrier and up my long drive way. "ran like a top" as they say. looked kind of sad as its top was torn and back window missing. in 2010 after a few months storage the top was replaced $1435. 00 all new. the head liner was also replaced $648. 00 the rear window and curtain were replaced with new $356. 00. The top pump was replaced the lines and some other working parts $367. 00. nbsp; It got new w/w Good Years. a set of Reconditioned Tru Spoke Wheels. new shocks on the front and rear. $1870. . the rear suspension still needs to be changed back to air shocks. I should have the set . I put a new fuel tank and fuel pump on the car $436. . strap had a pin hole under it. Got a new Interstate Battery last fall and a ignition pick-up. last the throttle body got cleaned and a set of injectors replaced with remans. This car drove to an all Cadillac show 100 miles North of here in the Spring of 2012 I had no mechanical problems of any kind on this trip and was quite happy with its performance and handling. since that time till I took photos this week it has sat covered in the back of the shop. that's the reason for the new Interstate power. engine work and Ignition parts. to get here up and running to move to her new home. Think it can use a new EGR that's included. Other than the paint. light body work. replace front and rear bumper fillers. front tie ends. electrical wiring some tune up. engine controls and such for emissions this year and a good interior cleaning this car is ready to go out and play. That's $5300. you will not be taking out of pocket to get this car up and going!Also included with this car a new EGR Valve. other parts listed and a Set of Custom fender well moldings the up grade to H&E wider Chrome after market style. and a very good parade boot for the top when its down! (Shown on top of car in photos. )Some one had to ask what the paint cost would be I had a year newer painted 2 years ago cost me $1100. that was a shop called One Day Paint and Body. this one looks to be a better car to work with so maybe less?All this for a lot less than I've invested in the original purchases and completed part of the restoration and upgrades.
