Description of 1954 Cadillac DeVille

Restored 1954 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan in outstanding condition. Beautiful two-tone paint in factory-correct color combination of Viking Blue over Newport Blue. Correct two-tone interior in proper factory patterns and fabrics. New chrome. Rebuilt engine and the engine compartment has been detailed. New battery. new battery box. new cables. etc. Restored carburetor. air cleaner. fuel pump. etc. Rebuilt generator. New wires. plugs. dual point distributor plate. etc. Rebuilt power steering pump. Too much to list it all. Just a great car. THIS MAY BE THE EARLIEST EXAMPLE OF A 1954 CADILLAC ON THE PLANET!!!This is a very. very early car. built on the first day of production. In fact. this car was built in the second hour of production on the very first day. Chassis number 86! Matching numbers car. Very lightly optioned car (deluxe heater. radio. etc. ) with manual windows and seat. Car appears to have been built on January 4. 1954 when production started. It was invoiced to the dealer on January 11. 1954 on invoice number 00016 -- see the photocopy of the factory build sheet for this car that I have uploaded. Note that this is body number 32!The car is in excellent condition -- even the radio plays and seeks (beautifully. I might add). Clock works. All gauges work. Okay. that is the good stuff. Now the negatives. Brakes could stand to be freshened up (I have new wheel cylinders. new master cylinder. new kit for brake booster). Front springs should be replaced (I have the springs). If you choose the Buy It Now option. I'll take care of all of that prior to delivery (I do excellent work and am a well-known restorer in old Cadillac circles). Otherwise. the parts will go with the car. but you'll be responsible for these minor things.
