Description of 1965 Cadillac Eldorado

1965 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, his 56000 mile southern California example has been professionally restored and is ready for new owner. This low mile beautiful Eldorado is an original black exterior paint car that is dictated by its color code #10 in the data plate. It was sold new 10-26-64 from Cadillac Los Angles on Wilshire Bl to Mrs. Wilcox of Montecito Ca. All factory books and protector plate in the factory binder. I have taken over 100 high res photos of this wonderful example and if I have missed anything that you would like to see I am happy to take them, he car is also open for any inspections. I understand that purchasing a classic over the internet can be a crap shoot but these photos are current being taken the second week of March 2016, his car drives wonderful.
This was a proper car prior to restoration, t was just original and showing its age so it needed a facelift.
The exterior of the car was completely striped. All trim, s well as the bumpers, mblem, glass, op and grills removed, here was no rust repair needed, he car resided in a garage for its complete life, t was taken down to meta, sides had many hours of love to ensure that the long body panels would show good depth and no waves, ll sheet metal is very nice and straight, ront fenders and rear quarters still retain the embossed date stamps the drip rails, he paint is very deep, oor jams and dash were painted as well, t has been cut, olished and the reflection is mirror like, t is a two stage paint. The car has all new weather striping throughout including the top rails, oors, pillar, runk and window seals, oth inner and outer fuzzes for all four windows were also replaced., new motor compartment sound deadening pad was installed. All Chrome has been re plated that was close to $8000.00 and days to put back together and install, ll stainless re plated including the rare Eldorado lower moldings, ll trim complete, oors, ood and trunk all align correct as well as the windows and top. The glass throughout the car is UN cracked as well as all lenses and original T3 Headlights. There is a new convertible top w glass rear window, ew header bows, op lines as well as all hydraulic lines, ams and motor are also new and the top aligns correct, he interior latches also re chromed. This car even retains the original Door edge guard’s.
The car sits on new Wheel vintiques 15 inch wire wheels w new radial tires w a 1.5 whitewall. Front end is excellent with the front end receiving new components as needed and a fresh alignment. Shocks are good and the car rides as a Cadillac of this era is suppose too.
Interior is completely new, he red seating and door panels feel like a chamois, ltra soft, eat cushions and springs have been rebuilt, hey carry the correct Cadillac pattern, ower seat working in all directions, ower windows and power wing vents also working correct and serviced. All interior bright work redone, ll gauges working correct, lock has been rebuilt, m radio works as well as power antenna of the radio knob. The Dash was sent out to just dashes and refurbished to new, ther options are power trunk, ilt and telescoping steering wheel, wighlight Sentinel also working, ower door locks, ew carpet, ew wood accents with door panels having the proper pinstripe for 1965 Eldorado cars. Factory black rubber Cadillac mats, omplete trunk kit in proper material, runk mat, pare, nd jack and factory cruise control (never tried)
The 429 motor purrs, ompression excellent in all 8 cylinders, ll hoses, elts, ires, re new, he original carb has been rebuilt, new water pump, uel pump,battery,altenator,all vacum.lines are new and correctly located in there proper spots. There are no leaks, trong power and the transition shifts well through all gears, otor and transmission mounts were replaced, nd exhaust is Cadillac quiet with no.leaks from the manifold gaskets that have been changed.
