Description of 1952 Cadillac Fleetwood 1952 Series 62 Golden Anniversary |
Good restoration project, mostly original, has not been ran since parked 8 years ago. Very solid and strait body with the exception of some areas of rust problems. Frame is very solid with no issues other than typical surface corrosion. Some water and moisture damage in the interior from sitting. Definitely a complete project restoration or fix it up as a cool rat rod car. We acquired it from someone who inherited it from their father who was the second owner. Prior to that I do not know. They drove it from West Virginia to Virginia in 2005, ran it around some here in VA for a few years until parking it in 2009 due to some brake problems and such. We have not tried to start the car, I am sure it will need work before it can be ran from it sitting so long. The levers going to the carburetor are frozen from sitting, so I am sure that as well as a carburetor rebuild, fuel lines, and such will need to be done prior to even attempting to run it. If you are familiar with old cars and restoration, than you already know that. The doors, trunk, hood, etc open and shut very well and tightly and are perfectly strait. This car will need a lot of work, more than I sure I am aware of, as I know nothing about restoration. This is a rare car, even in this condition, I hope it finds a good home. Please view all photos to get an idea on condition, and ask any questions if you have any. I will answer the best I can with the knowledge I have. We are selling this car to help fund our Mission Trip to New Mexico to help a pastor friend of ours and his ministry in the Navajo community on the reservation. We are excited about this, and the sale of this car should fund our entire trip there, purchase the supplies we need for the things we plan to do, and even make a large donation to their ministry to help in their continuation in ministering to the Navajo community. Buyer is responsible for pickup up and/or shipping. A flatbed or very large trailer will be needed, car is 4300 lbs. Also, when we transported it, the rear tires would not move because of the brakes being frozen and/or rusted from sitting. So keep that in mind, it was a little tricky to load and unload, but not too hard, just took some patience. CAR IS SOLD COMPLETELY AS IS, AS LISTED!!!! |
