Description of 1960 Cadillac DeVille |
1960 Cadillac De Ville "Cruella Deville" If we are talking "Hot Cars", Justin Carrillo's 1960 Cadillac Convertible Custom fits in this category on 200%. This ride's build takes about seven months, it's sponsored by "Auto Loc" and "Accu Air" and features some of the world's best components available on the market. It debuted at 2011 SEMA car show and won General Motors Best GM Vehicle of show. "Beyond words," is a phrase that comes to mind when you view something that has been transformed from the merely ordinary to the extraordinary. It is common these days to customize a Cadillac. Some people might see it as sacrilege to do so, but this car with its ground scraping stance, the mile deep black paint, on a blood red interior, with chrome utilized in all the right places, makes this car not only sinister, but stellar. It's the kind of car that could justify astronomically high prices to the right buyer. And at almost any price this car would be hard to recreate, due to the craftsmanship that went into this vehicle's transformation. Built by Justin Carrillo and Designs by Daryl's of Visalia, CA. Over a thousand man hours in metal and paint work alone. The car was a full frame-off build. Every nut and Bolt is brand new. Car was completely undercoated on a rotisserie. The frame has been modified with custom airbag suspension. The frame and components have all been powder coated. Car sits on 22"x9" Raceline billet wheels with 4-wheel CPP slotted and drilled disk brakes. Starting with the body the hood has been welded to the fenders and sectioned to make a one-off hood, the cowl area has been all hand crafted to surround the windshield that has had a hand built windshield frame that has been dropped and laid back to give it that sleek look. The fins have been heightened and stretched. The taill ight in the fin has been deleted as well as all moldings, trim and handles. The interior is highlighted with a 1957 Chevy Bel Air dash that has been sectioned and stretched to fit. The one-off center console is molded to dash and continues all the way through the car to the rear package try and wraps around the back bucket seats to make the metal flow continuously throughout the car. The four bucket seats and custom door panels have been wrapped in red Ultraleather with ostrich inserts. Bucket seats have billet medallions inserted into the material. The engine area has a highly detailed ground shaking Chevy 454 big block. Surrounded in custom metal panels all painted and buffed to a mirror finish to match the exterior paint. The killer stance makes this car look a mile long with the paint looking like glass this is a rolling piece of art.
