Description of 1959 Cadillac DeVille

1959 Cadillac DeVille Base FLAT TOP Sedan 4-Door 6.4L

A beautiful and defining design in American pop culture and Automobila. This car defines a generation, Rock and Roll, Elvis, Mass Consumption, Space Exploration and Rockets, Optimism, The Cold War, The Beav, Lost in Space, Batman and so much more. Flat toped, finned and awesome twin bullet taillight with loads of chrome!
I have owned the car for 10 years purchased from 2nd owner who purchased it from a family in Santa Fe who claimed to be original owners, this was communicated to me from 2nd owner.

A solid candidate for restoration. Driving and stopping vehicle with a fair to good New Mexico body. Some light body rust and some light surface rust. The paint was redone in the 80s and not the best job in terms of prep and taping with some areas on chrome of over spray. There is no evidence of being in a major collision looks straight and drives straight. Electric windows all work back passenger rear needs a little assistance. The car starts on first try and idles nicely, its does smoke and stops. It looks like the Air Condition was removed and is in trunk. The shocks need to be refreshed. Most lights work the ones that do not may need bulbs. The interior needs a complete redo carpets, seats and dash all need to be replaced. The glass is intact but windshield needs to be replaced, rear is nice door glass is all intact. Most body rubber/seals need attention.
