Here we have a truly amazing car, a 1949 Cadillac 62 Series 2 door sedan otherwise known as the "Sedanette". This beautiful Cadillac has undergone an extensive restoration into the ultimate cruising car with updated suspension, drive train and other comforts we have grown so used to. The build began with an excellent rust and rot free car, not a junker. The original front suspension was removed and replaced with a Nova sub-frame which not only gave the car a better ride but also power steering and power disc brakes. The new drive train consist of a rebuilt 425 Cadillac engine backed by a turbo 400 3 speed automatic transmission. The rear axle kept it's original gear ratio of 3.36 which seemed perfect for this set up. Keeping everything cool is an oversized aluminum radiator with a custom built shroud. The body is arrow straight with a perfect fit and finish. The dark green metallic paint is show quality with a deep consistent shine throughout the car and all chrome and stainless have a great shine as well. There is some small pitting coming through on the front bumper but it's not very noticeable. The interior has been finished in beige with forest green carpet and all new chrome hardware. Other features include tilt steering column, power windows, air conditioning and heat, electric wipers, CD player, and power remote door and trunk release. The car sits on a set of Coker wire wheels and wide white radial tires. This Cadillac drives incredible on the road being very tight and smooth and with all the modern upgrades makes it even more enjoyable.
