Up for bid is my beloved 1956 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan. I purchased the car two years ago from a retired judge in Rhode Island after sitting in a barn for 30+ years. Its a very unique car, boasting the ever rare gray with white top combination. As a Cadillac fanatic, my plans were to perform a full restoration. Unfortunately, I have several cars ahead of this one, and I would hate to see this one’s condition decline any further.
In the past month I have started the engine and ran it from a gas can. The engine runs strong and surprisingly quiet. In addition, I also place the transmission into both D and R and both engaged and moved the car in their respective direction. An added bonus is that the exhaust in intact, and quiet.
As you can see in the pictures, the car needs a total restoration. The good news is that its a very complete car. This car has not been picked over. The two missing headlight trims and one piece of side trim are both in the trunk; along with some doubles of existing trim. The judge started collecting parts for the restoration and passed his findings on to me. This car is definitely restorable, or at minimum a perfect donor car for all those hard to find pieces that nickel and dime you to death.It goes without saying, but the car is sold as-is, where-is, with no warrantees expressed or implied.
