1966 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Hardtop 2-Door 429 Rare Color Combinations No Reserve

This is being relisted due to the original buyer not being able to this item shipped overseas. Due to that I am only allowing buyers in the US.

Up for auction is a 1966 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Hardtop 2-Door 429. Extremely rare and most desirable color combination. Black with black vinyl top and red interior. Car appears to be 85% original and is 100% complete and still has original owner’s manual in the glove box. Was sitting in a Cadillac dealership for 25 years up until 3 years ago. Mileage is 25,935 believed to be original but no documentation proving so. The car does start, run and drive under its own power and shifts smoothly but unfortunately has no brakes which means it will need to be towed. Unsure of what the problem is with the brakes, the pedal goes to the floor.

You don’t see many cars like this especially with this combination and with all these rare options. Such as power windows which are all working just move a little slowly, power locks which work intermittently, power bench seat which also works intermittently, cruise control but unsure if that is functioning or not and rear window defroster which I am also unsure if that is working or not. It also has auto dimming sentinel lights, factory radio and power antenna. I would consider the interior in this car being in very good condition for being the original with the two exceptions of the crack in the center of the dash pad and the tear on the outer left side of the front seat. This is 100% a salvageable interior for nice driver or local show quality. It has all four matching white wall tires and complete set of matching hubcaps which are still in decent shape.

The body is solid with the exceptions of the left and right rear lower quarters from the fender skirts back and from the trim molding down. Skirts and rest of quarters, doors, fenders, hood and trunk lid, etc. are nice and solid. The vinyl top was nice three years ago but from sitting out in the elements the last few years has made it shrink up and split. It will need to be replaced. It has rusted some holes on the left and right lower side of the roof by the rear window glass just above the belt molding. At least it does not appear that water is getting into the car. All glass on car is in nice driver condition with no cracks or chips. Trunk floor will need some work. It appears that the far left & right rear closest to the bumper have some holes rusted through and will need some metal work and trunk drops replaced. Trunk still has spare tire jack and handle inside. It also still has 90% of the factor gray cardboard accent panels. 1 or 2 panels appear to be missing from the front of the trunk. The frame on the car appears to be very solid. All around this looks like a good survivor and just needs a little TLC. The only body work that appears to have ever been done on the car is to the lower left and right rear quarters. The car has recently had a new battery, starter and cap and rotor installed. It does have some exhaust leaks and will probably need a bit of exhaust work.
