1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, nice original car with the optional power sunroof and leather wrapped steering wheel. Selling with NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. We can assist in arranging shipping anywhere. ThisCadillac was bought fromthe sameelderly farmer that wegot our 66 Mercury Truck from(Also listed on Ebay) inthe small town of Birch Hills, Canada. He solely used it for taking the family to church and weekend trips into town. It hadn't been used for the past couple of years and was kept in the barn beside the Mercury truck that we also bought from him. With fresh fluidsthe425 Cadillac V8fired right up and runs good other than an exhaust leak which is not intrusive enough to be heard inside the car.The automatic transmission shifts very smoothly as you would expect from a Cadillac. I have driven it approximately 50 miles and it drives exactly how a 70's Cadillac should. The tires are all in good shape. With a minor tune up I believe this Cadillac will be a very smooth and reliable cruiser. I was very surprised to find that the climate control seems to function correctly and still blows cold. The interior is in nice clean conditionshowing a little wear in placeswith the usual splits in the drivers side door panel which any competent upholsterer should be familiar with repairing or alternatively replacements can be sourced on Ebay. The pillowed seats are as comfortable as they look. The power window, sunroof and locks function. Very surprisingly the clock still operates which isunusual in a Cadillac of this vintage as often the clocks stopped operating after they were a few years old.The factory radio still works well although the power antenna is not functioning. Overall the interior is very nice and well preserved for a car of its age complete with original owners handbooks in the glove compartment. The body is remarkably straight and solid with good paint. It presents very well but there are a few very minor chips and marks when examined closely as with any used car. The chrome is in nice shape. There is no rust that I can find to report. Remarkably the plastic body fillers for the 5 mph impact bumpers are not cracked or brittle like often found on many Cadillac's of this vintage. This Cadillac would look very at home participating in a local classic car show or cruise. Overall a very nice original example of the final year for the full size Cadillac Eldorado's. Highly desirable Biarritz trim with optional power sunroof. If you have any questions please message us. If you would like a shipping quote please message us. The process is very straightforward and stress free when dealing with domestic vehicles over 25 years old. who we are and what we do We are two brothersthat seek out original trucks and cars fromall acrossCanada specializing in vehicles from the 40s, 50s and 60s. We started heading North to source these vehicles several years ago due to the severe lack of such vehicles in the US in recent times due to our huge car culture. Most American barn finds have long been found and tampered with by several owners yet North of the border there still seems to be an abundance of good solid original vehicles waiting to be brought back to life. We make these great vehicles available to the US market by importing them into the US and providing all required paperwork to acquire a Clear US Title in your own name in your home State. We also specialize insourcing Mercuryand Fargo trucks and have successfully imported and found new homes for dozens of fine original examples. We are passionate about finding the best thatthere is and understand that our customers want to see automobiles that have not been tampered with; the more original, the better. Our inventory is regularly updated, as new finds are unearthed. If there is something specific that you are looking for, then let us know and we'd be happy to see if we can help.
