- You are looking at an almost all original pink '59 Cadillac Series 62 4 window hardtop. I don't know much of the history of the car from '59 to '74 other than it was from Idaho. In was owned by a man who had a collection of '59 and '60's that was in the several dozens. It had been stored in a shed-type building and i don't think driven. My brother bought the car and a '60 parts car in '85 and trailered it to Bozeman, MT. and replaced the damaged front left and right rear doors with the doors from the '60 parts car. It was stored indoors the whole time until August 2013 when it was started and driven to the driveway at the main house and washed and driven on to a trailer and taken to Fishtail, Mt. Then in September 2017 it was trailered to Billings, Mt. to Browns Transmission Company where it had the transmission rebuilt using the '60 Cad. tranny. The work was done by Mr. Jim Brown, 79 year old owner of business for over 50 years. He takes particular interest in the special interest projects. Also a re-cored radiator and new hoses and coolant and new battery were installed. Cost was 3344.75. The car runs and drives. Driven maybe 50 miles since '85 and possibly even '74. It has 92,690 miles on the odometer and I have no reason to believe that this isn't the actual mileage. When purchased in '85 the roof had damage which looked as though it had been stood on. The main dent was pounded upwards and out, but remnants of the dent remain in the form of creases on the outside corners of the roof corners. As a sideline, if you have never experienced a car stored in the climate of Montana, it is a very forgiving and preserving way of protective storage. I am listing this car for my brother who bought it in '85. The color is Wood Rose with Dover white roof. Any questions you have are very welcome. A Barn Find? You be the judge.
