Description of 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special |
Here is the 1959 Fleetwood 60 Special with all the fins and chrome you could ever want. Don't buy this car if you hate to have your picture taken because it happens all the time! Good condition and mechanically sound. Body and trim are very straight with nothing but the standard surface rust underneath. Older restoration and engine rebuild done in the 80's by the previous owners. Glides smoothly down the highway on what I believe to be the original 390 cu in V8. Original interior with new floor mats. I have owned this car for the past 7 years and it has always been garaged. During my ownership I have had brakes redone. water pump. nbsp;rechromed front bumper ends. rebuilt AC by Classic Auto Air in Tampa (follow up needed as air is so so). power windows rebuilt. new radio (have old one) new windshield. new power steering pump and all new pneumatic lines and new starter. Hate to let her go but the wife wants to start parking in the garage so she must find a new home. the car that is. Now for the stuff left undone. The AC needs to be looked at as the cool air is marginal. It was completely removed and rebuilt by Classic Auto Air in Tampa in 2010. The dash lights do not come on anymore most likely because it needs a new headlight switch (used to work when I worked the switch back and forth a few times. Headlights work fine as do all exterior lights. Little spot of rust on rear bumper and pitting on rear bumper ends. Have rechromed rear center bumper for sale separately if interested. Cigarette lighters do not work along with the power antenna. I think that is about it. As you can see. I have put a lot of work into this car so let my loss be your gain. If you love fins and chrome and want the best of 1959. well here it is! Thanks for looking |
