Description of 1961 Cadillac DeVille |
1961 Cadillac Deville. The original color is aqua. right now it has plasti dip paint which will peel right off. It also has the original steelies with trim rings and spider caps. This car would also look awesome in some true spokes with the skinny whites. The engine runs good. could use some carb tuning and you just have to make sure you use premium fuel at all times otherwise it will run weak. Everything is original on this Cadillac. all the lights and switches work. the speedometer and dash all works. all lights and turn signals work. the electric windows all roll down. the front end was redone when I got it in 2010. brakes work but hey pull a little to the side right now. The interior needs a little work. the carpeting and the side panels need to be replaced. the headliner and seats are in mint condition though. The radio still works but it only gets am stations. The trunk is great no rust. it has a brand. new fuel tank. The car runs very good. I've taken it to car shows in Wisconsin. Decatur. Springfield. and Chicago often. It has a few small dents and rust spots but nothing that can't be easily fixed. The driverside floor has a hole about the size of a golfball. I said it was a rat rod but it wouldn't take much to fully restore this Cadillac. unlike other rat rods. You'll just have to come and see it for yourself. Give me a call if you have any questions 619 8o8 35 four seven. I took some of the metal trim off to get it cleaned at one point but never got around to it. but I still have all the metal trim and it goes with the car. I believe I am the third owner of this car. I bought it from some one in Virginia back in 2010. As far as shipping goes. the buyer will have to arrange pick up. When I bought this car in 2010 I arranged pick up from a trailer company. they usually ship for a reasonable price if you give them ample time. I paid at the time $350 to ship from Virginia to Illinois. but I also waited about 3 weeks. I will try to put more interior and engine pictures soon. |
