Description of 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz |
Before bidding, note that the engine is not currently working. I do not personally know how bad the damage is, but according to my mechanic the engine has a spun bearing and I havenot tried to turn it over. I am selling my 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarrtiz in brown, with saddle brown interior. Has moonroof that works. I am not including any shipping. Buyer takes care of shipping, though I am going to be obviously more than accommodating to any shipping company that you(the buyer) choose to work with. To test shipping prices and distances, use 07065 as the zip code and Rahway, NJ as the city. Feel free to email me questions at Danielkelly(sixty)(at)yahoo.com (just replace the words in parentheses with the corresponding 60 and @ numbers/symbols. Pros - Plush and beautiful interior. Including the original or oem carpet and perfect headliner; -Working moonroof feature, with original instruction manual; -Most of the bumper filler is in tact and in good condition. I have replacements for those parts I am willing to part with as well;-Front Bumper fillerswere ingoodto great shape and would not need to be replaced or have any serious repairs. -The window mechanisms are working perfectly; -The a/c was blowing cold during the car's last use and heat worked as well; -new starter motor (which was recently replaced) -I touched up the white wall tires so they look beautiful; -No major rust issues, just a little in some of the rocker panels and a little on the underside but not bad for a 40 year old vehicle and could be easily repaired as there are no rust holes that I could find; -Original radio still works, with the speakers; -Chrome bumpers are in pretty good shape, with no rust or major problems. I've worked to polish the chrome nicely while it was in storage. Cons -Unfortunately, the engine is not working (it is currently seizedor not running) as it has a spun bearing. I had issues with it, the car died and I took it to the mechanic, that was their diagnosis and I have not tried to turn it over since as I do not want to break it any further; -Radiator leaked, was not series and may just be some of the gaskets and seals to the engine; -Antenna motor was not working; -I was having some trouble with the driver's side door which was having a locking mechanism difficulty (lock itself may be seizedin locked position. Should be able to get it open with some wd40 to loosen the mechanism. Makes the door difficult or impossible to open until the mechanism is freed up. I've definitely loosened it up with some anti lock spray. -The rear bumper filler generally needs replacement though it has one of the side pieces intact. I reserve the right to end the listing early if I deem it to be necessary for any purposes Note -I also have an uncut Jesser's gold Cadillac Key for the vehicle which I would be willing to sell. It isnot included in this sale, but if you want to buy it, make an offer to me via private message and I would be able to throw it into the car before it is transported. The key is uncut but fits the 1978 model. I have tried and it fits the ignition mechanism of this vehicle. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Cadillac-Eldorado-Gold-Crest-Silhouette-J-Key-1970-1974-1978-1982/392036435803?hash=item5b4731475b:g:1hYAAMXQk-FRFaLK:rk:26:pf:0 -Similarly, I have a full set of rear bumper filler that I am receivingin the mail soon from E & K bumper fillers. While not part of the ad, I am willing to work with a buyer to sell to them personally instead of putting it separately up on eBaywhen I receivethem. |
