1959 CADILLAC 62 SPORT COUPE ORIGINAL CONDITION

1959 CADILLAC 62 SPORT COUPE - MODEL 6237

(Style 59-6237 - Body FW 1988 -Trim 34 paint 49-12 -Top ACC EHY)

This is a very nice and original 1959 Cadillac which I purchased in 2012 in Iowa. Over the years I have done several car shows and photo shooting with it, it is a very pleasant safe and reliable car to drive. During my ownership I did the following maintenance to keep the car in top condition, all the work has been done by a professional mechanic here locally

Mechanicallythe carburetor was rebuilt, all the fluids (engine, transmission, coolant) were changed and all the brake components of all 4 wheels were replaced with brand new components (drums, brake booster, master cylinder, hoses, wheel cylinders) At the same time it was converted to DOT 5 (silicone base) same as what is being used by the aviation. The car also received a new ignition (spark plugs, coil, distributor cap and points) .Just before I became the owner a new dual exhaust was installed.

Inside the carpet and the rear view mirror were replaced and the 2 armrests were reupholstered (normal wear and tears) .In the trunk the mat was also replaced using the original material from S.M.S (exception of the sides).The car retains its original seats and door panels from the factory. I have added few pictures of the dash with and without a dash cover to protect it from the sun. On one of them you will see a small hole on the right side above the gauges hardly noticeable when you drive.

Cosmetically the car was repainted in its original color plus was given a wet sand and a complete buffing which explains its gorgeous look. There is a small discoloring below the driver door very hard to see on the pictures.

Though the car can be enjoyed the way it is the rear bumper should be re chromedand the headliner should be replaced (see close up pictures)

The car comes equipped with 4 (almost) brand new Radial White Wall treys(235 75 R 15) It has power steering power brakes and 2 ways power seat but noA/C and no electric windows.It iscurrently registered and insured in my name and can be driven anywhere.
