Description of 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special

If you've been searching for a Black 1962 Cadillac 60 Special with the Broadcloth (limousine style) seat option, look at this Cadillac LaSalle Club and Antique Auto Club of America multiple award winning 38K mile Fleetwood. I've own this for 12 years and it is a great driving, very dependable, smooth running and shifting sedan. In 2013 it was professionally refinished in single stage enamel. There is no bondo on this car. The chrome is original and very very nice. The interior is perfect, original with no seam splits, no visible wear. 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Specials with the Broadcloth interior option along with all Fleetwood "75s" debuted the infamous Wreath and Crest design that exists today. Carpets, headliner, wood on the door panels, dash pad are all original and near perfect condition.

Everything works on this 60 Special: All windows and vents, Air conditioning blows cold, cold on the original R-12 refrigerant, radio with foot control and power antenna perform perfectly. All courtesy lights including dash, reading lights, trunk light and door pull handle lights work as they should. The 6way seat motor was rebuilt and works perfectly. The clock works perfectly. The heater core was replaced and the heater and defroster blow hot.
Mechanically the 390 V8 uses no oil, up the steepest of hills there is no smoke or blue from the exhaust. All belts, hoses, ignition wires were replaced in 2017 with proper date coded replacements. The Transmission shifts great and the rear mount was replaced with a quality reproduction. The original oil blow by tube was replaced with a correct period PCV system. The charging system works as it should, turns over quickly and starts right up. In 2017 a period correct Delco Tar Top battery (with modern inners) and a Powermaster Alternator that looks like the original generator was installed. Correct "T3" headlights. The carburetor was professionally rebuilt and restored in 2014. The brake system and exhaust was replace by the previous owner who installed new brake lines front to rear and a new dual master cylinder (incorrect style) all using DOT5 fluid. The emergency brake works as it should.
Chassis and suspension: The car was undercoated when new. From the Transmission back to the rear bumper the frame has been cleaned of undercoating, sanded and POR15'd. The tires are General "dual 90" bias ply correct white wall 820:15, the spare tire is unused. The jacking equipment appears unused.

There is still room for improvement. The front and rear suspension bushings could be replaced. I'm reducing the size of my 12 car collection therefore No trades considered. This Fleetwood is one of the few and finest that exist today. Terms of Sale:

At time of sending initial deposit, Buyer MUST fax or email a copy of their State issued valid Driver License. Furthermore, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller.
