1940 LaSalle 50 series model 5027 Dual Side-Mount Coupe . Condition is Used. Frame off Restored aprox. 30 years ago, to original. Very nice all around top to bottom and underside. Runs and drives nice, very strong flathead V8, 3 spd shift, very low miles and original show condition. Car was not known to exist till 2017 when verified by GM Heritage. Picked up in Canada at the Plant in Oshawa, in October of 1939,by Mr. Hamilton on the convention driveaway. Please note this car was a Factory Demo for the Factory LaSalle Representative in the Southeast United States. Look at the Car Show Display in the pictures area. Since it was a Last year Built Model, Mr. Hamilton drove it for just a few months, until his 1941 Cadillac was ready in the Fall of 1940. The car was first sold to a buyer in W. Virginia and had a W. Virginia title until 2016, when titled in Wisconsin. The car was in Private Dealer Car Collections and not retitled only re-assigned. Title inquiries had not been made on this car for nearly 70 years, upon contact with GM Heritage. "Sally" was taken to the 2019 Cadillac LaSalle Fall National Event, seen in front of the Museum. She was an amazing display, and got a lot of attention, and pictures taken. 100's of people thanked me for bringing her for them to see, for most, a once in a lifetime event. Her first Cadillac LaSalle Club Show ever. I was invited by the Club president, at a show mid-summer in Wisconsin, as the many group members, were astonished to see Her. This model of a last year made car is so Rare, it can be the corner stone of any Cadillac LaSalle Collection. A possible $200,000.00 car now, and only going up!
