Description of 1983 Cadillac DeVille

I'm selling a really great. classic car that could be used as a restoration project. conversion to low-rider. or cheap. reliable transportation. The only issues with this car are entirely cosmetic. as mechanically it is in great shape. and that's not with any "for the year" caveat--just plain great shape. It has the 4. 1 liter HT4100 V8 that is known for being somewhat underpowered but great on gas mileage. This land yacht can be driven around at an EPA estimated 16 city and 26 highway mpg. which is crazy. Shifts totally fine with no hesitation. gear searching. or anything like that. Stops fine. lights all work. power steering allows you to drive with a pinky if you want to. The seats will put you to sleep. if you don't have the system cranked up. The body doesn't have any holes I can find. but it does have the one dent and some surface rust. The paint is the original 1983 paint. so it could certainly use paint if you want to make it shine again. The power window motors are tired. slow. and sometimes need some coercing. but work. The Pioneer radio works fine too but the previous owner must've wired something incorrectly with the screen as it intermittently comes on and then shuts off. Put a CD in it though and it works fine. whether the screen is on or not. It's got ~66500 miles on it. and although it's a five digit odometer. I suspect that to be the actual mileage based on a history report. which I can provide to any interested parties. The previous owner recently did a tune-up and replaced engine seals and gaskets. as well as the air cleaner with a nice chrome Edelbrock one. No gas leaks. no problems with the gas tank at all. Hood and trunk open and shut fine. although the pins in the doors are a little loose. The car is priced as it is in large part due to the set of four matching Dayton wheels that come with it. as can be seen in the pictures. They're 13in as the previous owner was going to go for the low-rider look. These wheels can sell for $700 on their own. and the car also comes with 4 14" gold spoke rims. which includes three great tires. Easily another $100-$200 in tires. Furthermore. the Pioneer head unit with the sub and other sound equipment really add to the value of the car. and can either be used and enjoyed. or if you plan on just driving the car to death. sold to recoup most of the cost of the car.
