1948 Custom Cadillac CoupeThis Caddy started life as a Texas rust free sedanette. Cadillac did not build a hard top coupe in 1948.Original chassis with stainless Fat Man front end, ten bolt Chevrolet rear with disc brakes on original leafsprings. Set up for 500 Cadillac and 4 L80 auto. Comes with a 700 R trans . NO MOTOR .Body mods are extensive and not finished using rust free parts.Original wind shield laid back to 55% so as to retain original 2 piece glass.52 Caddy hard top roof modified, 2002 Corvette convertible glass to fit rear window opening.52 Caddy trunk lid and rear body section.Custom trunk floor.57 Chev wheel arches fitted to rear fenders.2004 Cadillac Escalade power mirrors and seats.Front and rear bumpers, over riders, tail light housings, center radio grill, re-chromed (quality Dallas chrome shop)All stainless grill bars polished same shop.Have original wheels, sombrero hub caps, all interior fittings, original back seat, rebuild original radiator, original dash cluster,filler neck for gas tank. Body is roughly painted to stop rust and give some idea of finished shape.I have spent hundreds of hours on body work.
