Description of 1991 Cadillac Brougham |
Cadillac Brougham. In 2015 I was looking for a vehicle for transporting my dogs. They were getting older and having difficulty getting in and out of my truck due to the height of the vehicle. Also, once inside there was not a lot of room for them in the backseat. That is when I found this 91 Cadillac hearse built by Eureka Coach. It was the perfect vehicle for them, low entry through the side door with a built in step and plenty of room in the back. I purchased the car and went through it from bumper to bumper. I put 4 new tires on it, replaced the battery, water pump, had the AC recharged and gave the car a thorough cleaning. That is when I realized that during the process of converting the vehicle into a funeral coach the windows in both the left and right side rear doors were fixed in place. I suppose the previous owner was not concerned with the comfort of the rear passengers. I spent several weeks locating what I needed in order to restore their operation. Once that was complete I installed padding and covers in the back to protect the interior and to make it more comfortable for my two dogs. They were quite happy with their K9 limousine. After sometime the AC stopped working and I found the compressor was leaking. Since I usually drove with the windows down so the dogs could feel the wind in their hair I wasn’t concerned with fixing it. Eventually my elderly dogs got older and are no longer with me. Since their passing I really have no need for the car and decided to sell it. It was at that time that I had the AC compressor replaced and the system recharged and tested. That work was completed 7/31/20. In the years since I purchased the car I also replaced the alternator and windshield washer pump. The vehicle was serviced routinely and has been very reliable. Just this past June the car passed its annual state vehicle safety inspection which included a check of the brakes, lights, steering, suspension, exhaust, fuel system, tires, emission controls and other relevant items. I can provide a copy of the inspection report to any potential buyer. With the exception of some minor cosmetic issues, typical of a car of this age, this vehicle is in very good condition. If you are looking for a stylish ride to cruise the highway, this could be the car for you. Car and title will be released only after funds are in hand. Will be happy to answer any questions you have. |
