Description of 1992 Cadillac Brougham d'Elegance

I purchased this 1992 Cadillac Brougham d'Elegance from Camargo Cadillac in Cincinnati, OH in 1997 and have put about 15,000 miles on it over the last 26 years, driving mostly to service appointments and special occasions.
The Brougham is Black Sapphire (dark blue) with the d'Elegance Package and the Couch Builder Package. It's totally factory original, unmolested as they come. Features include:

  • 5.7-liter fuel-injected V8 engine
  • Limited-slip rear differential
  • Transmission oil cooler
  • 7,000-lb towing capacity
  • Anti-lock brakes
  • Electronic variable assist steering
  • Twilight Sentinel
  • Dual power seats with recline
  • Power trunk pulldown
  • Wire wheel covers
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • Keyless entry
  • Button-tufted leather seats
Cars runs and drives beautifully, just as it should. Smooth, quiet, and powerful. All power accessories, interiors lights, and features work 100% as they should with the two exceptions noted below. Car has been meticulously and lovingly maintained.
The last major repair was in 2021, when I had the transmission and rear differential professionally rebuilt at a cost of $3,800 (have detailed receipt). All other repairs performed as they came up over the years by Camargo Cadillac.
The only functional issues are:
  • The cassette tape deck no longer works.
  • The a/c needs to be converted to non-CFC refrigerant. The system worked fine until the freon ran out in 2022. It no longer blows cold.
Interior
Spotlessly clean leather and carpeting. No holes, tears, or stains anywhere. Shiny woodgrain and bright trim throughout. Front floormats were custom made for this vehicle back in 1997 because I thought the original ones showed wear. They still look brand new because I've always kept clear plastic over them. 100% working digital dashboard, including climate controls and warning lights. Absolutely no rattles or odors inside.
One issue: The headliner is tacked up as shown because the foam backing has deteriorated. A new deadliner is the only thing the interior needs.
Body
Brilliant finish as shown. There are some issues, all of which are shown in the pics.
  • Passenger side rear plastic fender filler disintegrated in November 2022 (well, that's when it literally cracked up and left)
  • Driver side fender filler is faded and getting brittle, but it's still there.
  • Plastic filler trim below license plate is brittle and chipping away too.
  • There's a slight indent in the rear bumper to the lower left of the license plate that's been there since I bought it.
  • The upper right edge of the lower body cladding on the driver door is separated from the body by a fraction of an inch.
  • There are a few spots on the hood (circled) where I attempted to touch up some spider webbing in the clear coat years ago (sorry, it looks worse now, but the shiny paint makes it almost invisible)
  • Hail dimple on driver side front fender top.
  • On driver side of vinyl top: a slight depression, a tiny tear, and a dent in the plastic trim (all circled)
  • Inside bottom passenger side edge of drunk lid: corrosion as shown. This is the ONLY evidence of rust anywhere on the car.
A few notes:
  • I had the original first-generation keyless entry system replaced in 2018.
  • Original gold keys (never used) and owner's manual included.
  • Original spare and jack in place.
  • Trunk totally spotless, never used to carry anything
  • Tires have no more than 500 miles on them
