Found this 1964 Cadillac Sedan de Ville up near Eugene from the original owners son. He had maintained car himself, but was able to drive it anymore for health reasons. Newer tires, brake booster, brake system. Has factory AC, cruise control, power locks, power seats, tilt steering wheel, power trunk lock, twilight sentinel. 89,000 original miles confirmed by previous owner and through my own verification of door jams, paint, engine compartment.
I drove it back from Eugene to Phoenix in 2 days and had no problems other than some throttle skipping going up a steep grade near the California/Oregon border...I adjusted the idle mixture screws and that seemed to do the trick. Virtually everything works. The AC blew cold when I left Oregon but now I think it just needs to be refilled with the R134a. There is an exhaust leak coming form the passenger side exhaust manifold gasket, the passenger side rocker panel has a smaller circle of paint/primer that is rippling out. The driver side has a circle of surface rust the size of a..lemon? Motor runs strong, car starts right up every time and temp holds great, even here in Arizona.
