Description of 1976 Cadillac Eldorado 2 door leather convertible

This is a beautiful car, but it is not in perfect condition. It passed California state smog, and was running a few months ago. But as of late, it’s become harder and harder to start. It finally stopped turning over completely, just a few days ago. I am assuming it is an ignition issue..? I took the battery to Autozone, and they said it was fine. Being that I’m not too familiar with ignition systems, I’m not really comfortable working on it. I have some mechanic friends at work, that would eventually get around to it, but they’re always busy with little to no free time. Needless to say, I’m tired of waiting around for other people to help me, so I’m just going to let her go.. I will price it fairly below average, because of the starting/motor issue. $7600 is a low, and very considerate price for this kind of vehicle, so do not ask me for “best offers”. Also I wouldn’t recommend buying this car, or any other old classic car, unless you possess the necessary automotive skills to keep it tuned up! The convertible top has become difficult to put down, so I just leave it up now. Interior is in fair condition for its age.. Has some wear and fading on seats, but nothing too bad. Windows are great, no chips, no cracks. Body and frame are straight. No dents, no bondo.. However, there is some minor paint flaking on the hood, see pictures for better assessment. Not in terrible condition, but you will need to address it, if looking for complete restoration. There is nothing terribly wrong with the physical attributes of the car.. People will often stop to admire her, or honk and wave. If you’re knowledgeable in automotive repair, I would suggest a car like this.. The 76’ Eldorado usually goes for 20k-30k or even more when it’s complete.

Vehicle Details

Overall in fair to above average condition..

I work for a local bus and limousine transportation company. My mechanic friends here at work have done many additions over the past year, when we had more time, including: rear shocks, rear coil springs, front lower and upper ball joints, front lower and upper control arm bushings, electric fuel pump, intake gasket, thermostat, lower radiator hose, brakes and rotors front and back.. As stated, it’s currently not running, so you should have the mechanical capability to take over where we have left off, and keep making additions at your own pace until it’s fully restored. I’d prefer to sell it to someone who appreciates American history, and knows what the 1976 LAST convertible from Cadillac represented.. But, I can’t control what you do with the vehicle. I’m sure you can even flip it for double of my asking price, once you put a little work into it, if you’re the fixer upper type..
