Description of 1965 Cadillac Eldorado Fleetwood |
1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado. 2-door - Excellent Condition!Triple Red: Red leather seats and interior. Red convertible top and Red exterior paint. This is a great car. which can be used as a daily driver. It has been totally rebuilt underneath. The owner liked the vintage paint and has not re-finished it. The convertible top is in great condition and has a power motor for automatic opening and closing. All the chrome is in good condition. there are no missing parts. the body is straight with no dents and no known rust. It has power windows and power door locks (front windows have been rewired). This was the first year with planed flat fins and a new sharp distinct body style. 1965 was the year this Cadillac was redesigned with straight bumpers and vertical lamp clusters. The 429 V8 Motor was rebuilt in January of 2014 and it was moved six inches forward in the frame with a new perimeter frame construction thus lowering the transmission hump and increasing interior room. This is a solid running car and could easily take a new owner across the country and back. The current owner has had title to the car for 10 years. She needs a new home. a good home! The car remains covered (car cover is included). when not being driven. She has lived her life in the desert and has a solid body. All of the gauges operate. The hard work has been done. There are some minor things like the rubber window sweeps. but that's it. the weatherstripping has been replaced previously. The trunk compartment is finished in black felt carpet and the seal on the trunk is in great condition. The original stereo head unit is still in the dash. It has the classic push button channel changers. however. it is purely aesthetic and has been disconnected. The original center speaker cover in the dash has been replaced with red speaker cover material. A new stereo head unit has been professionally installed in the glove compartment. There are speakers in the front foot wells as well as subwoofers in the rear. The system is powered by two amplifiers and there is also a 12-disc CD changer located in the trunk. The changer can be controlled from the head unit in the glove box or by a remote control (included). The system is professionally installed. with the goal of keeping the car looking factory original. This car has rear fender skirts that make it look really cool. They are easily removed for tire changes via a latch on the inside of the fender skirt. The tires are brand new with only 100 miles. This car is pretty much a complete specimen. Although she is not an actual "show" car. she is showy. Crowds gather where she is parked. Women leave notes asking for a ride. Men just stand in awe. The engine "relocation" was part of a Factory Redesign. nbsp;for the '65 year model Eldorado. This was a progression in the car's design. by the Manufacturer. The engine relocation reference was intended to highlight an improvement over previous year models. No aftermarket mechanical nor chassis modifications have been made to this car. This is smoke-free vehicle. There are no smoke nor tobacco odors. The dent in the chrome latch casing (for the convertible top) is seen only when the top is down and only if you are specifically looking for imperfections. It is barely noticeable. as is apparent in the photograph. Additional photos are forthcoming. On Apr-16-15 at 08:39:01 PDT. seller added the following information:This car belongs to a race car driver. who has taken special pride in the mechanics of the car. The car is mechanically sound! |
