This is an extremely rare find- it is quite possibly the lowest mileage '71 coupe de ville in existence. It is almost certainly the most original 1971 vehicle outside of a museum. My grandfather was the original owner of this car he bought it for his late wife and almost never drove it. It's been in my family ever since. He took it out once a year for an oil change. It sat in the garage for 10 years after he lost his sight but I was able to start it right up with a jump. I drove it to a few shows and of course it drives like a dream.Everything works on this car (other than the clock) the brights the AC heat power windows/locks turn signals the indicators on the turn signals the cigarette lighters the instrument panel- everything; there's nothing wrong with it it's never been in an accident. Despite having 4 ashtrays no one has ever smoked in it. The leather looks and smells new. It literally still has the new car smell from 44 years ago. The top is still in new condition it is rarely outside never driven in snow never used as a daily driver never been dirty all the rubber seals are still functional. It is like stepping into a time machine. The radio sounds like a 1970s radio should. This is not a car that should be pimped out it doesn't need restoration because everything on it is still new; it belongs in a museum.I don't need to sell it everytime I drive it either in a parade or just around town it turns heads. Every time I park I get a crowd and sometimes offers to buy it. It brings joy to your life to own this piece of American history. This car has more accessories and functions than most of the sorry excuses being produced today. It was built when brands meant something- and Cadillac was the standard everyone aspired to. They just don't make them like they used to.If you're looking at this car I shouldn't have to tell you this but 1971 was the first year that cars could take leaded or unleaded gas this one runs fine on premium. The only things I replaced are spark plugs tires (which have less than 1000 miles on them) upper radiator hose and the starter. Other than that it is all original.I do have the original spare which is in the trunk with the original jack.It was bought at Hanley Dawson Cadillac the famous dealership in Chicago which has its own story. I still have the original manual and the original keys in their leather holders. 14000 miles might be the lowest mileage coupe de ville in existence.
