Old Cadillac ragtops are so cool they even age with class. This 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible is in just the right condition for dramatic entrances long road trips and high-end summertime fun. White over red is stunning and while it isn't a show piece it is most definitely a show stopper.The important thing to note is that this car has led an easy life and even the chassis is cleaner than you'd expect from a 45-year-old piece. It has been restored as needed with new seat covers and foam in 2013 and the carpets are undoubtedly recent as well since they're just too nice to be original in an open car. Other details like the dash and door panels are original and everything has a quality all-of-a-piece look and feel. Accommodations are first class all the way with cold A/C a power front bench power windows tilt wheel and an AM/FM stereo radio in the center of the dash. Overhead there's a recent black convertible top that powers down in seconds and a red boot gives it a finished look. The trunk is surely original with a factory mat showing its age and a full-sized spare but again this is only proof that the car has been well-maintained not neglected.Cadillac's big 472 cubic inch V8 is luxury car smooth and pulls with enough torque to get all that sheetmetal moving with an effortless ease. One of the most reliable powerplants to ever come out of Cadillac factories it has a smooth powerful hum thanks to a proper single exhaust system and fires up quickly. The block still wears original Cadillac Blue paint that's a factory air cleaner up top and experts will note options like power steering power brakes and A/C which are always nice to have in your luxury cruiser. The transmission is a rugged TH400 3-speed automatic that shifts properly letting the big V8 use its torque to get the car moving instead of constantly swapping gears. As I mentioned the chassis is clean and rolls on a set of 235/75/15 whitewall radials wrapped around a set of original hubcaps.A big Cadillac convertible isn't just transportation it's a lifestyle and the imperfections aren't demerits they're a bonus.
