Up for sale is my 1953 Chevy 3100 pickup truck. V8 AUTOMATIC AND POWER STEERING. it is a two owner truck and has been in California since new and always garaged. original owner was a mechanic and body man at a Chevrolet dealership in the San Francisco area for 40 years and was his daily driver. It had a 327 V8 conversion done in the early 1970s.. the truck was repainted once in the early 1980s in the green paint that it wears today. the truck has ZERO rust and is extremely solid top to bottom.the body is straight with no signs of rust anywhere. the paint still looks great especially for being over 35 years old. the mild custom body work(58 chevy tail lights and roll pan,bumpers etc.) was done in the1980s as was the custom dash and gauges. all the glass is good but the drivers side windshield has a scratch from a bad blade. wood in the bed is plywood. the bed sides and rails are in nice condition.the engine is a stock GM 350 crate motor that was installed in the mid 1990s with Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor. transmission is a turbo 400. it has a later model rear end with freeway gears and has a GM 5 bolt pattern on all 4 wheels. the mags are early American racing that have been on the truck from the 1970s.it has a new 4 core radiator,new water pump alternator,battery,power steering gear box and power steering pump. recent brakes on all four corners. rear tires are near new 275- 60-15, nbsp;fronts are new 215-70-15. the interior is showing some age but still looks decent for a driver. it has a GM tilt column, ustom dash and Stewart Warner gauges. CD player, ucket seats and console.all gauges work except the fuel gauge . wipers have been changed to electric. will need a new headliner,(its there but not in great shape). the truck runs good and seems to be very dependable. always starts instantl, warm or cold. this is a good driver quality 60 year old truck. drives straight down the road and stops excellent. It will be sold with a clear California title in my name and current registration. On Jun-19-15 at 10:01:30 PDT, eller added the following information: This truck looks very good in person, t has had an easy life. no rust anywhere and has always been garage kept . it is a pleasure to drive and cruises easy 65-70 mph. it still has a straight axle but it has been fitted with an aftermarket power steering unit and drives fantastic for a 62 year old tuck. the custom dash could be removed pretty easy and put back to stock if desired. it is priced to sell. Kool old truck for not much $$$$
