The Yenko Stinger was tuned by legendary hot-rodder Don Yenko, ho was looking to beat Carroll Shelby and his Mustangs in Sports Car Club of America races. The Chevrolet Corvair was never recognized as a prominent performance machine, ut that didn't stop Don Yenko from wanting to go racing with it. Yenko entered it in SCCA racing events, ut in order for it to qualify at least 100 of the cars had to be modified for production-spec racing. The modified cars became known as the Yenko Stinger, nd very few of those, s well as a handful of the post 100 cars, r continuation series CS cars, re in existence today. Now you have the rare opportunity to own one of the nicest CS Yenko Stinger examples available anywhere.

Al Houston helped update the listing with the pertinent information. Thanks Al!
