1966 Chevy Belair one owner until may of this year. I have original paper work including owners manual and protecto plate in pristine condition. It was purchased from Dugan Chevrolet in Klamath Falls Oregon and the car spent its entire life within a few blocks of the dealership. Elderly owners stopped driving in 2008 with 100740 miles on it. The original 283 has good compression (120 - 130psi in all cylinders) and started right up, dles smooth but runs rough under load. Carberator is pretty gumbed up so probably needs a rebuild kit and a tune up. It does not smoke, attle. or knock. All the old school pieces are in place, ike spark plug shields, ust covers at the inner fender openings, ven has the factory markings on the fire wall. Three speed manual on the column with no slop in the linkage, lutch works good but a bit out of adjustment, t has a very rare electronic under dash overdrive. Its a good thing i have the owners manual to figure it out, ut it does work. Body has one small dent in the drivers front fender and the rear bumper looks like it was backed into a pole. 95 percent rust free. Bubbles under the paint on both lower front fenders but not rotted through and I see some rust under the rear window trim. Trunk is as solid and rust free as you will find on an unrestored chevy. Wheel wells are solid, loors, ockers, hock towers, still has the original spiral shocks) and all the rest of the car is rust free. Paint is chipped and scratched and has that decades old patina everyone seems to be looking for. I did a test spot and looks like it could be color sanded and polished out with alot of elbow grease. Interior will need work as the seats are split and ripped. I have rat rod style indian blankets covering the seats. I think it looks pretty cool. Head liner is torn and dash has some splits. Original radio but does not turn on. Runs and drives but i have only put a few miles on it. Power steering, o power brakes but they work adequatly. I sand blasted and painted the steel rims, olished out the original hub caps and installed brand new cooper cobra 225/70R/14s. I havent even driven the car with the new tires, he spare tire looks to be the original bias ply and the jack is still in place with 1966 chevrolet stamped on it. This car is about as original as it gets. The belair model was a cheaper version of the impala but fewer were built. I have read over 800,000 impalas were built in 66 and less than 300,000 belairs. The biggest problem is it has too many doors. I found something else I would like to restore instead so Its going no reserve. The original title was clear and is in the process of being transfered into my name. I have a temporary oregon title now and the new title should be here in 2 weeks. I believe I have covered everything. Please have your shipping details worked out before buying. I can store it for a short time but I live in the burbs and room is limited. So please don't take months to pick it up.Also ebay is a binding agreement. If your the winner and do not pay I will file a small claims court claim in my home town. When you don't show I will win by default. I hate to make those kinds of threats but I am tired of eating 50.00 listing fees because of dead beats. Thanks for looking.
