This amazing truck was a custom build by L&L Street Rods, nd the previous owner only put 262 miles on it since taking delivery before he fell ill and was unable to enjoy it.

Fully documented with receipts and photos, his stunning machine is a GOODGUYS/NSRA/ISCA pro-quality build that has NEVER BEFORE been shown or offered for sale.

DESCRIPTION

Breathtaking. That’s what this truck is.

A commissioned build from start to finish by L&L Street Rods, his incredible truck is perhaps the nicest example of a BIG BACK WINDOW fleetside Apache you will ever come across.

We have NOT detailed this truck, nd simply wiped it down with Turtle Wax Quickshine spray prior to shooting the photos, o imagine how incredible it will look when you get the chance to really clean all the nooks and crannies when you get it home!

The truck is NEW NEW NEW throughout, rom the paint to the bolts holding it together, nd is one of the most well-documented builds I have come across.

No expense was spared in creating this machine, nd it utilizes only the best of the best in parts and components.

The body is 100% STEEL from front to back, nd the build photos show that they started with a super clean truck to start with, orgoing extensive bodywork except for customization.

There is NO RUST, O ROT, O BEER CANS, O CHICKEN WIRE, O DOOR SCREEN, nd NO ISSUES with the metal on this machine, nd it is laser straight all around.

All of the custom work was done in steel, nd to the highest show level. A 4”x4” felt covered magnet sticks like glue to every single piece and part of the exterior without fail.

It was stripped off the frame and blasted to bare metal prior to starting the work, nd everything was done to the highest degree of finish out.

All bolts attaching the body parts to the truck, he truck to the frame, nd the pieces that go on the body were BRAND NEW, nd nothing from the old truck was reused.

It was treated to multiple coats of hand-rubbed Corvette Red paint and layers of clear prior to being finish sanded and buffed to the gleaming, how-quality final product.

There are only a handful or so of truly minor and inconsequential blemishes or flaws in the finish, rimarily from being stored under cover in the previous owners garage for a year or so prior to me letting see the light of day again.

There are NO DENTS, O DAMAGE, O RUST, nd NO CRACKS anywhere in the finish, nd just minor little marks that most show cars will get in the few scant miles they are driven on public roads. As you can see in the 100 large photos, t is a show quality, udging-ready finish that snaps necks like a chicken farmer when you drive it past.

Everything is monochromatic on the exterior, nd the brightwork and chrome was all cleaned, reated, nd prepped to be ready for paint so you don’t have to worry about it coming off.

Custom work includes shaved door handles, ustom tail gate mounts and brackets, ustom integrated side trim, ustom rear pan, ustom tail lamp integration, nd so much more!

Custom lighting with Chevy logos front and back align with new, odern-style headlamps to illuminate your evening cruising, nd a set of neon lights with wiring is included, ut not installed, n case you want to add a little more.

Glass is either exceptional original, r new replacement throughout the truck, nd has no damage, racks, r fogging.

All seals, eather stripping, oor fuzzies, indow regulators, indow channels, nd surrounds are new from the build.

Wheels are 15” AMERICAN RACING NITRO show-polished aluminum rims with no damage or issues, nd with a little Mothers and some elbow grease they will show like brand new again. Tires are classic FIRESTONE FIREHAWK raised white letter units and are like brand new, ith no damage or dry rot evident. They are sized P215/70R15 up front and P275/60R15 in the rear. There is PLENTY of room to go with a much bigger tire/wheel combo if you wish to do so.

The custom fabricated fiberglass bed cover is in great condition, nd has just one little chip in about 10mm around. It also has a little bit of slight paint coarseness to it from sitting with a shipping blanket on it. It still looks fantastic, s you can see in the photos, ut it is not 100% flawless. The struts for it have lost some of the pressure and only work about 50% of the time, o you will need to get new ones, r simply remove the cover entirely to show of the stunning wood bed with gorgeous painted inners, olished stainless strapping and bolts, nd custom chrome inside tailgate latches.

Tailgate is fully functional, nd all of the hardware and cable stops are inside the bed for a clean look.

Overall, he exterior of the truck is a solid 9.5 out of 10, nd I am sure that when you detail it, ou will get even closer to perfection!

Open the doors, nd you will see that the cleanliness and newness of everything extends inside the truck as well.

Rockers, ab corners, nner steps, oor jambs, oor inners, nd everything else is show-quality, nd like new. NO BONDO or BS!

All of the hardware to attach the doors to the body, ll of the latches, nd the door pins are new.

The inside is fully insulated and has custom made banded carpeting throughout, long with matching mats. It is flawless and damage free.

The seat is a genuine TEA’S bench covered in a rich grays/black tweed that matches the upholstery in the rest of the cab. It is flawless as well, nd has dual reclining sections and flip-up dual armrests too. They are some of the most comfortable seats in the industry, nd help make those POWER TOUR miles go down a lot easier for you and your passenger. Seat belts are installed for each occupant.

Door panels and headliner are all matching material, nd show like new, ith billet door pulls and chrome window switches to dress things up.

Black OEM style visors are like new, nd look great in the truck.

Dash is painted to match, nd houses the custom vintage air factory look control panel for heat, ir, nd defrost. The system is R134A, nd blows ICE COLD!

Also on the dash are custom switches for the other goodies on the truck, nd a rare AM/FM/CASSETTE head unit specified by the client that commissioned the build for his massive Country Music collection. It also has a CD Changer behind the seats, nd sounds fantastic through the multiple hidden and custom covered speakers throughout the cab of the truck.

The custom installed moon roof is a pop-up or pop-out unit with a custom made matching cover to make it show great off or on. It works perfectly, nd the seals are still like new.

The DAKOTA DIGITAL DASH is a factory look cluster with all modern digital internals, nd appears to be calibrated and functioning correctly when you drive the truck. It looks fantastic in the dash, nd all of the lights and indicators function.

A LOKAR show-chromed E-Brake handle matches the show-chromed LOKAR shift arm, nd both have matching leather boots.

An IDIDIT chrome steering column has a billet hazard button, illet tilt arm, nd billet electronic cruise control arm installed on it, nd gets topped by a billet 4-slotted spoke steering wheel with black leather wrap and a Chevy logo horn button.

Billet pulls on the dash activate the wipers and head lamps, ith a floor button for the high beams activation.

Chrome and rubber LOKAR gas and brake pedals look fantastic, nd work perfectly.

Under the dash, he modern wiring harness and fuse block is perfectly placed and installed, nd all of the wiring carefully loomed and run like you would see on a new vehicle. There are still spots left for adding addition electronics down the road, nd the professional install will make it easy to service and maintain it long-term.

Overall, he interior of the truck shows like the freshly completed restoration it is, nd really has no faults, laws, r issues to mention. It is about as clean as I have ever seen.

The chassis on the truck is in exceptional condition as well, nd as you would expect, hows like new.

The frame was completely stripped, e-tabbed, moothed, nd cleaned before being treated to rust preventative and then multiple coats of liquid black glossy paint. It was hand sanded, leared, nd buffed to a finish that rivals most trucks exteriors, nd then the all new components of the suspension system were installed on it.

EVERYTHING is new. E V E R Y T H I N G. Bushings, earings, -arms, ashers, uts, olts, otter pins, rakes, rake lines, uel lines, uel system, oses, lamps, hocks, prings, lips, ies….you name it, t was brand new on this build!

The custom battery box under the passenger side bed is one of the coolest things I have seen, nd easily drops down for service or maintenance. Quickly plug in your tender for long-term storage too.

The underside of the cab is painted to match the top, nd from down below you see the level of quality that went into this build, nd why the receipts exceeded $70,000. This kind of finish out and quality is NOT CHEAP, nd I doubt that you could replicate this build again, ven if you were fortunate enough to find a clean enough big window truck to start with.

The motor was original sourced from a 1979 Chevy Suburban, nd as the documents show, t was completely taken down to the block, leaned, oned, nd prepped for reassembly with ALL NEW COMPONENTS!

It is pretty much all painted, lated, r trimmed in gold, nd looks super clean and sano in the all red, moothed and painted engine bay.

All of the A/C components were new as well, nd the system has been R134A since birth, o no worries about component failure down the road due to Freon use.

The motor was built for highway cruising and long-term use, o it is not a monster build that you have to work on all the time. It is a reliable, imple to own, nd simple to maintain powertrain that will still smoke the rubber off the back tires if you mash the go-pedal, ut still will purr like a kitten at 185 degrees on that long cruise.

Transmission was also fully stripped to the last piece and part, nd completely rebuilt to be the best Turbo 400 it could be. It shifts life a new tranny, as a VERY mild shift kit that won’t make your passengers head jerk on every gear change, nd matches up perfectly to the GM smoothed and rebuilt rear-end with 3.73 gearing to make it the perfect combination of boulevard cruiser and freeway flyer!

This truck fires right up, dles super clean, nd has a very nice rumble from the custom made exhaust system.

Snick it into gear, nd the big 454 V8 lets it chirp the tires even with the lightest foot, o remind you that you are behind the wheel of BIG BLOCK TRUCK!

Power comes on smooth and even throughout the power band, nd the truck ALWAYS has plenty in reserve for passing or merging into traffic.

It runs SUPER COOL, hanks to the massive factory-style radiator that is all new, high-flow water pump, nd gigantic cooling fan. It is one of the coolest running vehicles we have had in stock.

The engine and chassis are clean, ut really could use a solid detail. We HAVE NOT DETAILED THE TRUCK, o what you see is pretty much how we got it! If you take some time to wipe down the chassis and get all the nooks and crannies clean, lus detail the motor, his truck would be ready for a mirror and a spot on the floor at any major Car Show!

This level of workmanship is hard to find, nd in a world where everyone that can buy a set of MATCO TOOLS calls themselves a MASTER MECHANIC, t is all the more appreciated.

L&L is no joke, nd with the quality of work that you see on this truck, nd the other projects on the company website, t is obvious why the prior owner commissioned them for the build.

All told, t appears to be a grand total of about $78,560.00 in receipts spent to create what could possibly be the cleanest, ost sanitary, IG WINDOW APACHE FLEETSIDE ever made. It is all fully documented, ith a complete photo book of build photos from A to Z on the truck as well.
