This is a 1966 chevy nova.True pro street ! I will start by saying it is driven on the street and is registered and inspected. It was switched to a 1967 in the 70's to make the year break for the class it was racing in. It won it's class at the indy us nationals in 1974 and set a national record that year as well. It also won most outstanding drag car in 1974 also. It was raced by barry musser out of reading,pa. I have all copies of documentation to confirm all of this along with featured articles on the car as well that go along with the sale of the car. Barry bought the car in 1972 and it was strictly a drag car until I bought it from him in 1999. Barry had the motor freshened up after the last race along with the trans and rear. I assembled the engine and installed it along with the trans after I bought it. I also removed the rear and gave it a fresh coat of paint and put it back into the car. I also installed new floor pans and trans tunnel. barry would leave the windows down on rain days at the track and he raced it with a trans scatter shield and no tunnel. it still has the scatter shield I just installed a tunnel from a donor car.the engine is a 355 c.I. 12:5:1 compression with approximately 500 miles probably less. It has dart iron heads, full roller engine. very radical cam, stahl large tube headers with adapter plates, crank trigger, meziere water pump, stud girdle, victor intage, race demon carb,'64 tach drive corvette distributor, all good brand name bullit proof internals, msd 7al ignition, dual holley fuel pumps,16 gallon fuel cell in trunk, large tube aluminum radiator, flex a lite cooling fan, line lock, trans brake, ladder bar rear suspension with single leaf springs and sliders, drag shocks in front and standard shocks in rear. transmission is a 2 speed powerglide with trans brake works great. rear is a dana 60 with strange axels and a strange spool and 5:38 gears. has drag disk brakes in rear with drum brakes in front with a proportioning valve. has a stahl and associates cable driven tachometer, hurst quarter stick shifter and s and w gauges. has a two step rev limiter with controls on the dash. new racing seats, carpet and headliner car is tubbed.. has roll cage from front shock towers to rear bumper and around roofline. new et street tires front and rear. has the old centerline wheels from the 70'r battery is located in the trunk with a kill switch located under rear bumper.car was built in the 70's by s and w racecars and ed quay out of pa. engine work by brandywine heads. car was running 10:30's back in '85 when it was last raced. has not been raced since '85 and freshened up.the car was built with all the best components of the time and is a provencar. it is not some cobbled together race car. it is inspected and registered and I only take it to local cruise nights and is street proven.
