Description of 1966 Chevrolet C-10 Custom

1966 Chevy C10 Vintage Classic Short Wide Bed Survivor Rat Rod Hot Rod Truck !!!
Okay Chevrolet C10 pickup fans - here is the one you have been looking for. Right up front let me say this truck began life as a long bed. It was a one owner well cared for unit. I sectioned frame 12" between front and rear cab mounts. Cut 8" off rear frame rails. Section bed similar - 12" from front of wheel wells and 8" behind. Used exact process that Power Block Truckin TV did on similar 1966 long bed. Seehttp://www.powerblocktv.com/episode/TK2007-10/one-half-a-c-10#.VIUIIzHF9yUProfessional bodyman with 40+ years experience took on the task. You are bidding on complete shortened frame, omplete GM front suspension, teering & linkage, rakes, tc.,, nbsp;3:73 geared 12-bolt rearend with new U-bolts installed & original trailing arms. The truck is then complete less engine & transmission. I have not added drop spindles or springs. Truck currently has factory front/rear springs removed. Frame, ngine crossmember and trailing arms are DRY ! You will also receive the Pro-tecto Plate, wners manual, nd full size original service manual. You are also getting original deluxe seat - (needs recovered) & date coded correct seat belts. ---- perfect gas tank that is shiny clean inside - us as is if you wish. ---- used left and right front fenders with stainless and C10 emblem still attached. The items I have purchased also are part of the auction: CPP tubular transmission crossmember - bolt in POL Performance tubular v-8 engne stands - bolt in Aluminum radiator mounted in place Front fenders bolted on and aligned for fitment Chrome front bumper Brothers Deluxe Oak Bedwood kit with Stainless Polished bed strips and bolts - ( I have not done any staining or clearcoating to this kit. Just dropped in a few of the board & strips for a representation.) Bob's Chevrolet Reproduction chrome door sills & complete body moulding clip set - ( can use to transfer front fender mouldings from used fenders)
Once the body, ed, amp; front clip was set back on frame, verything aligned perfectly. Truck was accident free. Doors open/close correctly. All glass is crack free and original to the truck. Windows operate smoothly. The original factory applied paint remains. Other than the paint-in match at front and rear of bed sides, t is all Chevrolet vintage. I elected to do NOTHING to alter the apperance of its patina aged life - you can do as you see fit on that decision.Only rust issue that I had began to address was on passenger side floor board - see pics. Easy panel weld in here. Similar but not as bad on driver side, ut I never began at all on that side, ou may elect to just smaller patch panel there. Rockers would be fine for several more years. Cab corners dry. Cab supports very solid. Inner fender supports show one tiny spot on driver side only - (see photo).Doors are completely DRY. Firewall, nd remainder of cab is DRY.Feel free to ask questions, will respond.Truck is available to international buyers also. I have been through process before. Any buyer is responsible for delivery picked up at my residence only.Deposit of $500.00 due within 24 hours of close winning auction.Good luck fellow Ebayers. See my Feedback. Thanks - 1965vettes

Need to answer a few questions I have recieved since placing the C10 on auction:
Q:) Does the engine & transmission come with truck ???A:) No it is NOT included. I only used photo with them installed to show reference. That engine is a 350 with 400 turbo long tailshaft transmission. If using a different combination the transmission crossmember is bolted in so it can simply be adjusted to fit your need.
Q:) Has the original bellhousing crossmember been cut out or "torched" on ?A:) No is has NOT. There was no need. Chevrolet of course installed the optional small block engine in conjunction with Powerglide transmissions on many of these trucks. Even the 400 Turbo transmission clears the torque converter just fine. Plus that original crossmember maintains the strength that these frames were designed for.
Q:) Does the driveshaft come with the truck ? A:) Yes it does. However the 400 Turbo transmission yoke does not. I am needing that for my next project.
Q): Has the frame been media or sand blasted ?A:) NO it has not. The frame is extemely clean. I did some minor wire brushing and a complete degreasing of all components, ut nothing else.
Q:) Was frame job done using an Arc welder or Mig welder ?A:) He used a professional shop grade Mig welder. He has done many many frame section projects over the years. After seeing several of his finished jobs I felt confident this fellow would be more that up to the task. He gusseted the inside of the frame along with exterior gusseting on outside that will be nearly invisible once frame is prepped and painted color of your choice.
Q:) Do I have a BUY IT NOW price ?A:) MOST ASKED QUESTION - No, simply want the auction to run its course which if only fair for everyone currently bidding on the truck.
Please don't hesitate to ask any other questions that you may have if I did not get it covered here. Good luck to every one during the auction.
