Update 8/7/15 to advise and answer a question: 1. FYI, he owner/seller received a local (within Colorado) combined cash/trade offer last evening and is considering same. Given local offers are made without a deposit, u>accepted eBay offers accompanied by the required deposit will be honored first--money exchange equals commitment to buy and sell. BTW, utright purchase without any combined trade is definately the preferred option by the owner/seller. 2. Vehicle has original heater/defroster, ut no aftermarket AC is installed. Update 8/6/15 to answer questions from multiple lookers/potential buyers: 1. Some questions regarding the $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours. The deposit is a firm requirement and will not be waived. Contact me directly with questions. 2. Vehicle is titled in Colorado and has no liens--title is clear. Car is insured, egistered/plated and may be driven upon advance and pre-coordinated request by licensed, nsured drivers. 3. Car could be driven home, ut if shipped we'll prepare the car for loading/shipment. Yes, e'll take pictures before the driver leaves with the vehicle and provide to you immediately by e-mail. 4. Apparently there are some interested buyers unfamiliar with the Chevy 383 "stroker" concept--this not a Mopar 383 shoe-horned into a Chevy! The engine is based on a Chevy 350 cubic inch, -bolt-main short block bored 0.030-over and retrofitted with 400 cubic inch crankshaft. 5. Internal or external balance is by preference--this engine is externally balanced. Keith Black hypereuretic flat top pistons, .030" bore, .7" rod length, nd 3.75" stroke as built. Cam is a street/strip Crane Powermax 278/290 hydraulic with 1.5" rocker arm ratio. The Chevy Vortec heads have 64-cc combustion chambers, nd combined with the KB flat top pistons the compression ratio comes in at roughly 9.7:1. The cam was setup and engine performance tuned on dynamometer before being installed in the coupe. 6. To answer questions about engine performance, t delivered an impressive 451 foot-pounds of torque with 365 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 417 foot-pounds of torque with 398 horsepower at 5,000 rpm. These are dynamometer readings. Stroker motors are about torque and this one delivers. Thanks for looking, nd more information will be posted as questions come up. Lots of folks looking, o thank you and good luck! |
