Description of 1969 Chevrolet C-10 SWB Stepside |
1969 Chevrolet C10 Stepside SWB"Patina Truck"Mobilgas theme PLEASE SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS HERE: A real attention-getter! Great advertising for your business! *WAY MORE PHOTOSHERE! I bought this truck with the intention of building up a nice runabout for a home renovation project. With that work now done, t has come time to sell my '69 Chevy C10 pickup. It's an ex-government truck, nd while I don't know its history, 'm sure it has some great stories to tell. It's a great runner with a rebuilt 292 straight six motor (4.8 liters!) that will practically tow a house. The four-speed on the floor is solid-shifting and has a nice clutch. Rear end is a posi-track and all four tires are matching size with good tread. Wheels are all straight and were painted not too long ago. The truck goes down the road nice and straight and has a nice and solid frame. Aside from some rust in the cab corners as pictured, lus all that surface patina, t is rock solid. That said, he truck definitely the wear and tear that gives it its unique character. Pretty much everything works aside from the water temp gauge, ut it doesn't overheat even in 90+ weather. Starts right up even in below freezing with a pump or two of the gas. The turn signal only cancels going one way and the horn is not functional. Also, he alternator belt is probably a little small as high rpms exhibit a bit of belt noise. At some point, he front end was swapped with the more desirable look of a '67 C10. The work appears to have been done well. The suspension feels pretty tight, lthough you need to keep in mind that this is a 45 year old truck... it does not ride like a new Lexus! And isn't that a good thing?! Some notable updates:- Mobilgas "patina" logo painted on doors- Custom pinstriping on glovebox door- New dash top and door armrests- New USB radio- New glove box insert- New stained bed stakes- New rearview mirror (inside)- New carpet (one small stain)- Four "poverty spec" dog dish hubcaps (one has some dents)- Motor does not appear to leak and was recently rebuilt. Runs REALLY well.- Transmission said to have been rebuilt with motor- Towing bumper- Cloth upholstered bench seat redone fairly recently- 1969 Chevy truck owner's manual included **** Truck also includes a new, tained set of bed wood with chrome bolts and rails!!! Not installed but included!!!! **** Pickup is up to buyer. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal or (in person) cashier's check or cash.
