1964 Chevy Impala SS 409 Sport Coupe QG 340HP Daytona Blue Bucket Seats Auto

You are bidding on atrue1447 code1964 V8Impala SS2dr Sport Coupe with a correct but non matching 340HP 409 engine. The engine is a QG code 1964 409 that was professionally rebuilt about 5 years ago and has less than 1,000 miles put on it. Never raced or abused. It is bored .030 over with a slightly more aggressive than stock cam. Block casting number is 3844422. Heads are original 3830817 casting heads.The intake is an original 3814678 (400HP/409) aluminum intake. Edelbrock carb with HEI distributer. The engine is very clean and runsexcellent. It is backed by a 2spd Powerglide automatic transmission.According to thecowl tag thecar was originally916code Daytona Blue with a831 code Blue "Super Sport" bucket seat interior.Accessories included W code tinted windshield, code Powerglide transmission, code padded dash, nd O code exterior chrome. Someone has done all the rough body work on the car (small patch panels welded in etc..) and primed it.The body just needs finish work at this point and it will be ready for paint. Bottom of doors aresolid as well as the rocker panels,there's no rust in either.Floors and trunk are also excellent. One rear body mount will need some work, therwise the remainder of the mounts and frame are in great condition. Basically this is a rust free car that just needs finish body work and a paint job! The interior is original upholstery and in decent condition overall. The previous owner had a small battery charger fire in his garage where this car was stored and the interiorsuffered a little heat damage.It just got hot enough for the headliner tomelt, lightly damaging the tops of the seats and the dash pad. Otherwise the door panels, onsole, arpet, nd remainder ofseat upholsteryis verypresentable.Original factory tachometer with newlens installed. I havea new lensfor the instrument panel as well but have not installed it. All the glass in the car is excellent with no chips or cracks. All chrome and trim is intact and in good shape. Some of the stainless has light dings here and there but all could me massaged out. A set of five perfect condition SS wheel covers are also included. The exhaust will need some work as both mufflers are damaged.The brakes are currently not working so we have not driven the car, lthough as previously stated the engine runs excellent. This is a great car with tons of potential. You're getting a super solid, eal deal SS Impala with a clean, trong running authentic 409. Prices of 409 engines alone have gone through the roof just in the past few years. The car is for sale locally and we hold the right to end the auction early providing the reserve has not been met.
