Description of 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28

Incredibile Barn Find - UnMolested 1981 Z-28 T-Top and 4-Speed Car

Just relisted, nd lowered the price - Offered with no reserve.

I got a new job, o I have to let my toy go. I've assessed, nventoried, nd gotten to the basics on this diamond in the rough. It is all there, eeding some repairs to put it back to factory excellence.

Factory orange on orange Z-28. Have all the VIN and Protecto Plate decodes.

Motor, ntake, arburetor, -Speed original transmission, ellhousing/z-bar, nd Rear-End are all numbers matching and period correct originals (I believe). The factory heavy duty front/rear sway bar and mounts are still in place.

Speedometer is showing 8500 miles, o assuming 108,000 miles. Engine wear appears minimal. Car has surface rust on frame and undercarriage. There is rust around the rear window (not bad), round the t-top lip, ear valance above gas tank, nd minor rust at the driver/passenger floor board, nd in the center of the rear passenger feet section. Guessing the repair panels would be 8"-12" square in all 4 locations.

Most of the moldings, nterior components, nd hard-to-find little parts are there, ncluding the factory honeycomb z-28 wheels and most of the sought after center-caps and lug nuts for this year/model. The original door skins were pretty rusted, o I got another pair of original Z-28 doors with all the parts to replace them with.

Engine turns over freely, ith cylinder walls are mirror finish with no scores or buildup. Heads are original with a spare set of castings just machined, agnafluxed, nd hot-tanked.

Car needs some attention to details as the previous owner was a little zealous with the black spray paint, nd had made some home-repairs on some of the factory wiring harness segments.

lots of new parts, nd a lot of spares.I have going with the car, complete gasket set to go through the motor, ew header gaskets and bolts, ew hoses (upper / lower), nd a pair of z-28 replacement doors with all the parts/electric locks.

Have Florida title in hand. so text or email with your questions. This has the potential to be an incredible restoration.
