Description of 1975 Chevrolet Corvette |
You are bidding on a 1975 Corvette T-Top Coupe, ith the rare L82 engine option., hich is a nice, omplete, olid project. This year is the single rarest year for the L82 engine option, withonly 2,372 L82'sbeing produced this year! Compare that production number to the other years!!! Factory options include an automatic transmission, ir conditioning, ower steering, ower discbrakes, ilt/telescoping wheel. Unlike many color-change cars, his one is a trim-tag-correctWhite/Tan car! I took this car in on a multi-car transactionthis week, nd have not attempted to make any repairs to it. It has beenin the same owner's hands since1977, ith paperwork to back this up, nd only one prior owner who bought it new.I have ordered new front and rear bumpers, nd they are included with the purchase. The carstarts and runs without any issue, ut it sounds like it needs a tune up. No smoke, r evidence of excessive blow-by etc.The engine compartment is untouched/unrestored. Even the smog pump and belt are still in place! The belt is off the A/C, o I am guessing some work is needed on it. The brakes, nd other mechanical systems seem to be in order, owever, his is a project car, o I do suggest checking everything out before driving it routinely. The tach, il pressure and clock do not work. The power windows are not currently operating, ut I am guessing this may bethe relay/fusesince neither work. May need new motors, ho knows as I have not had a chance to check out. The frame, nd other the areas of rust/concern on most Corvettes of this era are of no concern on this vehicle. The end caps, rame, tc are all excellent/solid/etc.The body fitment, oor, ood, nd t-top fitment is excellent, ith no evidence of accidents, epair work, tc. The bonding strips are inside all four corners of the cars quarter panels, ndicating a no-hit body. The urethane bumper covers are literally falling apart, hich is very normal for Corvettes of this era. The urethane bumper covershave not been damaged by accidents! They just dry out and begin to disentigrate, s is happening on this car. The paint is in clearly olderand would clearly be refinished when installing the new bumpers, hich again, re included with the purchase. It appears that the car may have had some touch up work over the years, ut a good bit of the exterior may actually retain the original paint. The door jams are definitely still in their original paint. The interior appears to be mostly original other than the seat covers, hich appear to be newer replacements. The seat covers are in great shape, s is the dash and console. I would replace the door panels, nd the carpet, nd the interior would most certainly be very presentable with these additions. The mileage shows 90K, nd based off overall appearance, am guessing this is accurate. If you are looking for a project Corvette, L82 or otherwise), ith the lowest and rarest production engine option, ere's an excellent opportunityto purchase acar that you can drive and enjoy after the bumper covers are installed and do a complete repaint as desired down the road. I would suggest shipping this car, ut you may choose to drive it home, s it seems mechanically sound enough to be able to do so.
