1965 Corvette Coupe L79 327 350HP number match!

I have up for your consideration a 65 Vette with the original 327 350 HP engine. I also believe the rest of the drivetrain is original also. I must first tell you that I love old Chevys but this is my first Corvette and I am not that knowledgeable on them, o Imay make a mistake on something and if I do you Corvette fans let me know and I will post your email.

First the car runs and drives very well the engine starts with a quick turn of the key and holds a good idle and pulls strong. The trans and clutch work very well with no problems of any kind other the front bearing gasket on the trans leavesoil on the floor. The rear end has a posi tag. I never tried it to see if it leaves two black marks.

The interior is in good shape, owever it needs carpet and a side panel.Seat covers are very presentable. Some of the cablesunder the dash are frozen and don't slide, his includes the defroster cable.

I purchased this car not running and with no brakes of any kind. It had been sitting for a very long time. I purchased thru Texas Caliper company and complete stainless brakes system. This also included changing it over to power brakes and a dual master cylinder for safety. This car was going to be mainly my wife's but she has decided to keep her 69 Camaro. I must admit I don't really like the car, am about 6'5" and almost 300. May knee hits the back of the steering wheel when I let out the clutch and I have to push it in to roll the window down. However there is a bunch of head room. My wife not to crazy about a 4 speed. So we going to let her go to someone who is a better fit.

We also had to install a new gas tank, uel pump, nd carb to get it to run. I don't not have the original holley carb or the air cleaner.

The car was taken off the frame and redone in 1987. I bought this car from his son through a estate sale. Note the title I received was from 1986 and showed 42000 miles. the odometer now shows 47732. I applied for a new title before I found out the speedo idd not working. The new title is currently on the way in my name. When it arrives it will say 47K actual miles but I am telling I don't know the mileage to be correct.

Look at the passenger fender where it meets the hood. It is about 1/2 low. I looks as if they glued the inner fender to low and forced the top fender to it. This caused the fender to crack at the cowl. I planned on releasing the inner fender from the fender and repairing the inner fender.

What is this car worth? I don't know! Hagerty.com values this car at #2-$67,600 #3-$52,200 #4- $30,200. This car is not a #2 car but its not a #4 car either. #3is roughly 52K but this carstill needs some things- paint the big one. So I am guessing around 40K. I have set the reserve way under that however. I will entertain offers in cash. I paid for this car in $100 dollar bills when I bought it and I would like to sell it that way. But I will consider a check. but don't expect to hand me a check and drive it away that day. Not going to happen. Please call me for a honest description of the car. Should this auction go all the way and reserve is met. You will have the opportunity to inspect the car before payment is due. I will not however renegotiate the price. I live 1 hour north of Indy and highly encourage you inspection. I have a lift also.

Thanks for the phone calls I have learned alot about Corvettes today. trans number PO 2 22 feb 22ndrear end number AO 370 posi date 2 23 65 Also the pass dash pad is cracked and I am told they are expensive.This car will require some work but by all checks its number matching except the carb!Videos on the way hopefully tonight

Two phone calls and a email reference this so I am going to try to get pics. The casting number is 3782870 date is B 17 5. Both of these numbers are hard to read so I have them soaking in carb cleaner and I will post pics later when I get them cleaned up.
