Description of 1977 Chevrolet Other |
Relisted. Buyer hit the Buy It Now button to end the auction and did not want to pay for the car. Relisted for another 10 days..........Sorry for the confusion. 1977 Vega Pro Car. This car was recently completed. The engine has about 200 miles on it for break in and street tuning purposes. Car weighs 2380 lbs. just as it sits in the pictures with the iron Block 408 LS, ana 60 and Glide. I have the scale verification from when I weighed the car. If you want an easy to drive and maintain legit single digit street car this will be the one. With the turbo 408 LS engine and the low weight this car will be easy on drivetrain parts and easy to maintain. It would be really tough or next to impossible to get a Camaro, ova, alibu or an LX Mustang based LS swap car down to this low of a weight especially considering that this car has an almost bulletproof DANA 60 in it. It has the Holley HP EFI system in it so it starts and drives very easy. Car is a very reliable street car the can run in the 7's with more timing and boost. Here are some of the highlights of the car.
The picture where it is doing a wheel stand was when it had an iron block V6 with a dry sump. It weighed 2030 with that combo. It weighs 2380 lbs with the iron block and the large frame BW turbo. I have not had it on a dyno. Car has SFI certified dampner, lexplate and the Hughes Trans has the heavy SFI approved case. I bought the car as a roller out of California several years ago and it was professionally done. It is really a high quality build chassis. The car runs really well and is very street able with the smaller turbo cam and rear end gears. It is always an attention getter at the cruises and the cars and coffee meets that I have been to. You can easily display the MAP pressure and other gauges on the Holley Touch Screen and that is what I have been using. The grill where I have cut out some openings needs to be finished by smoothing, anding and repainting the area. It does not look very bad but to match the rest of the car it should have some attention. I have a quart of both colors of paint for the car. This car is definitely an attention getter and will save you big dollars over building a car of this quality yourself or having someone do it for you. It has a great forged engine, strong, ulletproof Powerglide Trans and Converter and the Dana 60 rear end has a world class reputation for strength. If you want a turnkey fast street car that can run with many of the top cars in the county, his is an easy way to get one and save you a ton of money over building one. The reason I am selling this car is that we are moving and I need to get rid of some cars. My loss will be your gain. I will include a SFI fire suit, loves, hoes, eck roll with sale if needed. My Ebay feed back score is 100% with almost 500 transactions so I will treat you honestly and fairly with no stories. Camaro, ova, rans Am, urbo, orvette, rag Car, treet Outlaws, ast 15, rag Radial Class. Here is a video link of the car pulling into our driveway. The radiator in the back has been replaced by the custom dual pass radiator in the ad pictures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryzdu8dYRvs Here is a video link of a run a few weeks ago. I left at a high idle with no boost and without the transbrake. The Density Altitude (DA) was at about 7500 ft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fASdfJ0Tu6k |
